Laws for Peace Offerings

וְאִם־

wə·’im-

And when

זֶ֥בַח

ze·ḇaḥ

[is] a sacrifice

שְׁלָמִ֖ים

šə·lā·mîm

of a peace offering

､ קָרְבָּנ֑וֹ

qā·rə·bā·nōw;

his offering ､

אִ֤ם

’im

if

מִן־

min-

of

הַבָּקָר֙

hab·bā·qār

the herd

ה֣וּא

hū

he

､ מַקְרִ֔יב

maq·rîḇ,

offers [it] ､

אִם־

’im-

זָכָר֙

zā·ḵār

אִם־

’im-

or

､ נְקֵבָ֔ה

nə·qê·ḇāh,

תָּמִ֥ים

tā·mîm

without blemish

יַקְרִיבֶ֖נּוּ

yaq·rî·ḇen·nū

he shall offer it

לִפְנֵ֥י

lip̄·nê

. יְהוָֽה׃

Yah·weh.

וְסָמַ֤ךְ

wə·sā·maḵ

And he shall lay

יָדוֹ֙

yā·ḏōw

עַל־

‘al-

on

רֹ֣אשׁ

rōš

the head

､ קָרְבָּנ֔וֹ

qā·rə·bā·nōw,

of his offering ､

וּשְׁחָט֕וֹ

ū·šə·ḥā·ṭōw

and kill it

פֶּ֖תַח

pe·ṯaḥ

[at] the door

אֹ֣הֶל

’ō·hel

of the tabernacle

､ מוֹעֵ֑ד

mō·w·‘êḏ;

of meeting ､

וְזָרְק֡וּ

wə·zā·rə·qū

and shall sprinkle

בְּנֵי֩

bə·nê

､ אַהֲרֹ֨ן

’a·hă·rōn

of Aaron ､

הַכֹּהֲנִ֧ים

hak·kō·hă·nîm

､ אֶת־

’eṯ-

- ､

הַדָּ֛ם

had·dām

עַל־

‘al-

on

הַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַ

ham·miz·bê·aḥ

. סָבִֽיב׃

sā·ḇîḇ.

וְהִקְרִיב֙

wə·hiq·rîḇ

And he shall offer

מִזֶּ֣בַח

miz·ze·ḇaḥ

from the sacrifice

הַשְּׁלָמִ֔ים

haš·šə·lā·mîm,

of the peace offering

אִשֶּׁ֖ה

’iš·šeh

an offering made by fire

､ לַיהוָ֑ה

Yah·weh;

to Yahweh ､

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

הַחֵ֙לֶב֙

ha·ḥê·leḇ

the fat

הַֽמְכַסֶּ֣ה

ham·ḵas·seh

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

､ הַקֶּ֔רֶב

haq·qe·reḇ,

the entrails ､

וְאֵת֙

wə·’êṯ

and

כָּל־

kāl-

הַחֵ֔לֶב

ha·ḥê·leḇ,

the fat

אֲשֶׁ֖ר

’ă·šer

that [is]

עַל־

‘al-

on

､ הַקֶּֽרֶב׃

haq·qe·reḇ.

the entrails ､

וְאֵת֙

wə·’êṯ

and

שְׁתֵּ֣י

šə·tê

､ הַכְּלָיֹ֔ת

hak·kə·lā·yōṯ,

the kidneys ､

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

הַחֵ֙לֶב֙

ha·ḥê·leḇ

the fat

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

’ă·šer

that [is]

עֲלֵהֶ֔ן

‘ă·lê·hen,

אֲשֶׁ֖ר

’ă·šer

that [is]

עַל־

‘al-

by

､ הַכְּסָלִ֑ים

hak·kə·sā·lîm;

the flanks ､

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

הַיֹּתֶ֙רֶת֙

hay·yō·ṯe·reṯ

עַל־

‘al-

､ הַכָּבֵ֔ד

hak·kā·ḇêḏ,

the liver ､

עַל־

‘al-

הַכְּלָי֖וֹת

hak·kə·lā·yō·wṯ

. יְסִירֶֽנָּה׃

yə·sî·ren·nāh.

he shall remove .

וְהִקְטִ֨ירוּ

wə·hiq·ṭî·rū

אֹת֤וֹ

’ō·ṯōw

it

בְנֵֽי־

ḇə·nê-

אַהֲרֹן֙

’a·hă·rōn

הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חָה

ham·miz·bê·ḥāh,

on the altar

עַל־

‘al-

､ הָ֣עֹלָ֔ה

hā·‘ō·lāh,

the burnt sacrifice ､

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

’ă·šer

which [is]

עַל־

‘al-

on

הָעֵצִ֖ים

hā·‘ê·ṣîm

the wood

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

’ă·šer

that [is]

עַל־

‘al-

on

– הָאֵ֑שׁ

hā·’êš;

the fire –

､ אִשֵּׁ֛ה

’iš·šêh

[as] an offering made by fire ､

רֵ֥יחַ

rê·aḥ

נִיחֹ֖חַ

nî·ḥō·aḥ

. לַֽיהוָֽה׃

Yah·weh.

his offering ､

לְזֶ֥בַח

of a peace offering [is]

､ לַיהוָ֑ה

Yah·weh;

to Yahweh ､

זָכָר֙

zā·ḵār

א֣וֹ

’ōw

or

､ נְקֵבָ֔ה

nə·qê·ḇāh,

תָּמִ֖ים

tā·mîm

without blemish

. יַקְרִיבֶֽנּוּ׃

yaq·rî·ḇen·nū.

he shall offer it .

then he shall offer

אֹת֖וֹ

’ō·ṯōw

it

לִפְנֵ֥י

lip̄·nê

. יְהוָֽה׃

Yah·weh.

וְסָמַ֤ךְ

wə·sā·maḵ

And he shall lay

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

יָדוֹ֙

yā·ḏōw

עַל־

‘al-

on

רֹ֣אשׁ

rōš

the head

､ קָרְבָּנ֔וֹ

qā·rə·bā·nōw,

of his offering ､

וְשָׁחַ֣ט

wə·šā·ḥaṭ

and kill

אֹת֔וֹ

’ō·ṯōw,

it

לִפְנֵ֖י

lip̄·nê

אֹ֣הֶל

’ō·hel

､ מוֹעֵ֑ד

mō·w·‘êḏ;

of meeting ､

וְ֠זָרְקוּ

wə·zā·rə·qū

and shall sprinkle

בְּנֵ֨י

bə·nê

אַהֲרֹ֧ן

’a·hă·rōn

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

דָּמ֛וֹ

dā·mōw

עַל־

‘al-

on

הַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַ

ham·miz·bê·aḥ

. סָבִֽיב׃

sā·ḇîḇ.

וְהִקְרִ֨יב

wə·hiq·rîḇ

And he shall offer

מִזֶּ֣בַח

miz·ze·ḇaḥ

from the sacrifice

הַשְּׁלָמִים֮

haš·šə·lā·mîm

of the peace offering

אִשֶּׁ֣ה

’iš·šeh

as an offering made by fire

– לַיהוָה֒

Yah·weh

to Yahweh –

､ חֶלְבּוֹ֙

ḥel·bōw

הָאַלְיָ֣ה

hā·’al·yāh

[and] the fatty tail

､ תְמִימָ֔ה

ṯə·mî·māh,

לְעֻמַּ֥ת

lə·‘um·maṯ

הֶעָצֶ֖ה

he·‘ā·ṣeh

､ יְסִירֶ֑נָּה

yə·sî·ren·nāh;

which he shall remove ､

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

הַחֵ֙לֶב֙

ha·ḥê·leḇ

the fat

הַֽמְכַסֶּ֣ה

ham·ḵas·seh

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

､ הַקֶּ֔רֶב

haq·qe·reḇ,

that [is]

by

､ הַכְּסָלִ֑ים

hak·kə·sā·lîm;

the flanks ､

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

הַיֹּתֶ֙רֶת֙

hay·yō·ṯe·reṯ

עַל־

‘al-

､ הַכָּבֵ֔ד

hak·kā·ḇêḏ,

the liver ､

עַל־

‘al-

､ הַכְּלָיֹ֖ת

hak·kə·lā·yōṯ

the kidneys ､

. יְסִירֶֽנָּה׃

yə·sî·ren·nāh.

he shall remove .

וְהִקְטִיר֥וֹ

wə·hiq·ṭî·rōw

And shall burn [them]

הַכֹּהֵ֖ן

hak·kō·hên

– הַמִּזְבֵּ֑חָה

ham·miz·bê·ḥāh;

on the altar –

לֶ֥חֶם

le·ḥem

[as] food

אִשֶּׁ֖ה

’iš·šeh

an offering made by fire

. לַיהוָֽה׃

Yah·weh.

[is] a goat

､ קָרְבָּנ֑וֹ

his offering ､

וְהִקְרִיב֖וֹ

then he shall offer it

לִפְנֵ֥י

lip̄·nê

. יְהוָֽה׃

Yah·weh.

וְסָמַ֤ךְ

And He shall lay

אֶת־

’eṯ-

יָדוֹ֙

עַל־

‘al-

on

רֹאשׁ֔וֹ

rō·šōw,

וְשָׁחַ֣ט

wə·šā·ḥaṭ

and kill

אֹת֔וֹ

’ō·ṯōw,

it

､ מוֹעֵ֑ד

And shall burn them

הַכֹּהֵ֖ן

hak·kō·hên

– הַמִּזְבֵּ֑חָה

ham·miz·bê·ḥāh;

on the altar –

לֶ֤חֶם

le·ḥem

[as] food

אִשֶּׁה֙

’iš·šeh

an offering made by fire

לְרֵ֣יחַ

lə·rê·aḥ

､ נִיחֹ֔חַ

nî·ḥō·aḥ,

כָּל־

kāl-

חֵ֖לֶב

ḥê·leḇ

the fat [is]

. לַיהוָֽה׃

Yah·weh.

חֻקַּ֤ת

ḥuq·qaṯ

[This shall be] a statute

עוֹלָם֙

‘ō·w·lām

לְדֹרֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם

lə·ḏō·rō·ṯê·ḵem,

throughout your generations

בְּכֹ֖ל

bə·ḵōl

in all

: מֽוֹשְׁבֹתֵיכֶ֑ם

mō·wō·šə·ḇō·ṯê·ḵem;

your dwellings :

כָּל־

kāl-

חֵ֥לֶב

ḥê·leḇ

וְכָל־

wə·ḵāl

דָּ֖ם

dām

לֹ֥א

lō

. תֹאכֵֽלוּ׃

ṯō·ḵê·lū.

you shall eat .
