For he shall be great before the Lord, and wine and fermented liquor he should not drink; and with the Holy Spirit shall he be filled, even from his mother's womb.

And he said, "Unto you is it given to know the secrets of the kingdom of God: but to others in similitudes, that when they see, they should not see, and when they hear they should not understand.

For whoever would wish to save his soul shall lose it: and whoever should lose his soul for my sake, the same shall save it.
For whoever should be ashamed of me and my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he should come in the glory of himself, and of the Father, and of the holy messengers.
And I say to you truly, certain are standing here, who shall not taste of death, till they should see the kingdom Of God.

And you should remain in that same house [i.e., the peace-loving one], eating and drinking whatever they serve you, for the worker deserves his wages. Do not move from house to house [i.e., wasting time].
We are wiping off even the dust of your city that has stuck to our feet [in protest] against you. Yet you should know this, that the kingdom of God has come near [to you].'
But Martha was distracted with much preparation, so she approached [and] said, "Lord, is it not a concern to you that my sister has left me alone to make preparations? Then tell her that she should help me!"
And He said to them, "When you pray you should say, 'Father, may your name be highly honored. May your kingdom come [to earth].

And he answered and said to them: Which of you, if his son or his ox should fall into a pit, would not immediately pull him out on the sabbath-day?
And He spoke a parable to those whom He had called, warning them that they should not choose the first couches; saying to them,
When you are invited by any one to a wedding, do not sit down in the first place, lest at some time a more honorable man than you should have been invited by him,
