'Criticize' in the Bible
Do you intend to criticize mere words, and treat the words of a despairing man as wind?
“Those who err in mind will know the truth,And those who criticize will accept instruction.
“Do not judge and criticize and condemn [others unfairly with an attitude of self-righteous superiority as though assuming the office of a judge], so that you will not be judged [unfairly].
For just as you [hypocritically] judge others [when you are sinful and unrepentant], so will you be judged; and in accordance with your standard of measure [used to pass out judgment], judgment will be measured to you.
Then Jesus began to criticize openly the cities in which he had done many of his miracles, because they did not repent.
On the contrary, who are you, O man, who answers [arrogantly] back to God and dares to defy Him? Will the thing which is formed say to him who formed it, “Why have you made me like this?”
As for the one whose faith is weak, accept him [into your fellowship], but not for [the purpose of] quarreling over his opinions.
One who eats must not look down on one who does not eat, and one who does not eat must not criticize one who does, because God has accepted him.
Who are you to criticize another’s household slave? Before his own Lord he stands or falls. And he will stand. For the Lord is able to make him stand.
But you, why do you criticize your brother? Or you, why do you look down on your brother? For we will all stand before the tribunal of God.
Therefore, let us no longer criticize one another. Instead decide never to put a stumbling block or pitfall in your brother’s way.
Therefore do not let what is a good thing for you [because of your freedom to choose] be spoken of as evil [by someone else];
That is how I vindicate myself to those who criticize me.
Don’t criticize one another, brothers. He who criticizes a brother or judges his brother criticizes the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge.
