David's Capture Of Jerusalem

⁴ And David and all Israel went to Jerusalem which is Jebus: for there dwelt the Jebusites the inhabiters of the land. ⁵ And the inhabiters of Jebus said to David, "Thou comest not here." Neverthelater, David won the castle of Zion, which is called the city of David. ⁶ Then said David, "Whosoever smite the Jebusites first, shall be the principal captain and a lord." And Joab the son of Zeruiah went first up, and was therefore the chief captain.
