² So all the men of Israel were assembled in the presence of King Solomon in the seventh month, the month of Ethanim, at the festival. ³ All the elders of Israel came, and the priests picked up the ark. ⁴ The priests and the Levites brought the ark of the Lord, the tent of meeting, and the holy utensils that were in the tent.

Deuteronomy 31:9

Moses wrote down this law and gave it to the priests, the sons of Levi, who carried the ark of the Lord’s covenant, and to all the elders of Israel.

Joshua 3:6
