1 All the people of Judah made Uzziah king in place of his father Amaziah. Uzziah was sixteen years old at the time. 2 He rebuilt Eloth and restored it to Judah after King Amaziah had been laid to rest with his ancestors. 3 Uzziah was sixteen years old when he became king, and he reigned for 52 years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Jecholiah. She was from Jerusalem.
