2
Hide me from the (A)secret counsel of evildoers,
From the tumult of (B)those who do iniquity,
3
Who (C)have sharpened their tongue like a sword.
They (D)aimed bitter speech as their arrow,
4
To (E)shoot (a)from concealment at the blameless;
Suddenly they shoot at him, and (F)do not fear.
5
They (b)hold fast to themselves an evil purpose;
They (c)talk of (G)laying snares secretly;
They say, “(H)Who can see them?”
6
They (d)devise injustices, saying,
“We are (e)ready with a well-conceived plot”;
For the (f)(I)inward thought and the heart of a man are (g)deep.
