הִכְבַּ֤דְתִּי

､ לִבּוֹ֙

lib·bōw

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

לֵ֣ב

lêḇ

､ עֲבָדָ֔יו

‘ă·ḇā·ḏāw,

of his servants ､

לְמַ֗עַן

lə·ma·‘an,

שִׁתִ֛י

ši·ṯî

אֹתֹתַ֥י

’ō·ṯō·ṯay

אֵ֖לֶּה

’êl·leh

､ בְּקִרְבּֽוֹ׃

bə·qir·bōw.

וּלְמַ֡עַן

ū·lə·ma·‘an

תְּסַפֵּר֩

tə·sap·pêr

בְּאָזְנֵ֨י

bə·’ā·zə·nê

in the hearing

､ בִנְךָ֜

ḇin·ḵā

of your son ､

וּבֶן־

ū·ḇen-

and son

בִּנְךָ֗

bin·ḵā,

､ אֵ֣ת

’êṯ

- ､

אֲשֶׁ֤ר

’ă·šer

the mighty things

הִתְעַלַּ֙לְתִּי֙

hiṯ·‘al·lal·tî

､ בְּמִצְרַ֔יִם

bə·miṣ·ra·yim,

in Egypt ､

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

אֹתֹתַ֖י

’ō·ṯō·ṯay

אֲשֶׁר־

’ă·šer-

שַׂ֣מְתִּי

śam·tî

､ בָ֑ם

ḇām;

וִֽידַעְתֶּ֖ם

wî·ḏa‘·tem

that you may know

כִּי־

kî-

אֲנִ֥י

’ă·nî

I

. יְהוָֽה׃

Yah·weh.

[am] Yahweh .

וַיָּבֹ֨א

way·yā·ḇō

So came in

מֹשֶׁ֣ה

mō·šeh

וְאַהֲרֹן֮

wə·’a·hă·rōn

אֶל־

’el-

to

､ פַּרְעֹה֒

par·‘ōh

וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ

way·yō·mə·rū

and said

אֵלָ֗יו

’ê·lāw,

to him

כֹּֽה־

kōh-

אָמַ֤ר

’ā·mar

יְהוָה֙

Yah·weh

אֱלֹהֵ֣י

’ĕ·lō·hê

､ הָֽעִבְרִ֔ים

hā·‘iḇ·rîm,

of the Hebrews ､

עַד־

‘aḏ-

-

מָתַ֣י

mā·ṯay

מֵאַ֔נְתָּ

mê·’an·tā,

will you refuse

לֵעָנֹ֖ת

lê·‘ā·nōṯ

to humble yourself

؟ מִפָּנָ֑י

mip·pā·nāy;

before Me ؟

שַׁלַּ֥ח

šal·laḥ

let go

עַמִּ֖י

‘am·mî

. וְיַֽעַבְדֻֽנִי׃

wə·ya·‘aḇ·ḏu·nî.

that they may serve Me .

’im-

if

מָאֵ֥ן

mā·’ên

אַתָּ֖ה

’at·tāh

לְשַׁלֵּ֣חַ

lə·šal·lê·aḥ

to let go

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

､ עַמִּ֑י

‘am·mî;

My people ､

､ הִנְנִ֨י

hin·nî

מֵבִ֥יא

mê·ḇî

will I bring

מָחָ֛ר

mā·ḥār

אַרְבֶּ֖ה

’ar·beh

. בִּגְבֻלֶֽךָ׃

biḡ·ḇu·le·ḵā.

into your territory .

וְכִסָּה֙

wə·ḵis·sāh

And they shall cover

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

עֵ֣ין

‘ên

the face

､ הָאָ֔רֶץ

hā·’ā·reṣ,

of the earth ､

וְלֹ֥א

wə·lō

so that no

יוּכַ֖ל

yū·ḵal

one will be able

לִרְאֹ֣ת

lir·’ōṯ

to see

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

. הָאָ֑רֶץ

hā·’ā·reṣ;

the earth .

וְאָכַ֣ל ׀

wə·’ā·ḵal

And they shall eat

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

יֶ֣תֶר

ye·ṯer

､ הַפְּלֵטָ֗ה

hap·pə·lê·ṭāh,

of what is left ､

הַנִּשְׁאֶ֤רֶת

han·niš·’e·reṯ

לָכֶם֙

lā·ḵem

to you

מִן־

min-

､ הַבָּרָ֔ד

hab·bā·rāḏ,

the hail ､

וְאָכַל֙

wə·’ā·ḵal

and they shall eat

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

כָּל־

kāl-

הָעֵ֔ץ

hā·‘êṣ,

הַצֹּמֵ֥חַ

haṣ·ṣō·mê·aḥ

לָכֶ֖ם

lā·ḵem

מִן־

min-

. הַשָּׂדֶֽה׃

haś·śā·ḏeh.

of the field .

וּמָלְא֨וּ

ū·mā·lə·’ū

And they shall fill

､ בָתֶּ֜יךָ

ḇāt·te·ḵā

your houses ､

וּבָתֵּ֣י

ū·ḇāt·tê

and the houses

כָל־

ḵāl

of all

､ עֲבָדֶיךָ֮

‘ă·ḇā·ḏe·ḵā

your servants ､

וּבָתֵּ֣י

ū·ḇāt·tê

and the houses

כָל־

ḵāl

of all

מִצְרַיִם֒

miṣ·ra·yim

אֲשֶׁ֨ר

’ă·šer

לֹֽא־

lō-

､ רָא֤וּ

rā·’ū

､ אֲבֹתֶ֙יךָ֙

’ă·ḇō·ṯe·ḵā

your fathers ､

וַאֲב֣וֹת

wa·’ă·ḇō·wṯ

､ אֲבֹתֶ֔יךָ

’ă·ḇō·ṯe·ḵā,

your fathers' ､

מִיּ֗וֹם

mî·yō·wm,

הֱיוֹתָם֙

hĕ·yō·w·ṯām

עַל־

‘al-

on

､ הָ֣אֲדָמָ֔ה

hā·’ă·ḏā·māh,

the earth ､

עַ֖ד

‘aḏ

to

הַיּ֣וֹם

hay·yō·wm

. הַזֶּ֑ה

haz·zeh;

וַיִּ֥פֶן

way·yi·p̄en

And he turned

וַיֵּצֵ֖א

way·yê·ṣê

מֵעִ֥ם

mê·‘im

. פַּרְעֹֽה׃

par·‘ōh.

וַיֹּאמְרוּ֩

way·yō·mə·rū

And said

עַבְדֵ֨י

‘aḇ·ḏê

פַרְעֹ֜ה

p̄ar·‘ōh

､ אֵלָ֗יו

’ê·lāw,

to him ､

עַד־

‘aḏ-

מָתַי֙

mā·ṯay

יִהְיֶ֨ה

yih·yeh

זֶ֥ה

zeh

לָ֙נוּ֙

lā·nū

to us

؟ לְמוֹקֵ֔שׁ

lə·mō·w·qêš,

a snare ؟

שַׁלַּח֙

šal·laḥ

let go

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

､ הָ֣אֲנָשִׁ֔ים

hā·’ă·nā·šîm,

the men ､

וְיַֽעַבְד֖וּ

wə·ya·‘aḇ·ḏū

that they may serve

אֶת־

’eṯ-

יְהוָ֣ה

Yah·weh

. אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֑ם

’ĕ·lō·hê·hem;

הֲטֶ֣רֶם

אַהֲרֹן֙

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר

and he said

､ אֲלֵהֶ֔ם

’ă·lê·hem,

to them ､

､ לְכ֥וּ

lə·ḵū

go ､

עִבְד֖וּ

‘iḇ·ḏū

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

יְהוָ֣ה

Yah·weh

! אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֑ם

’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem;

מִ֥י

mî

וָמִ֖י

wā·mî

and who

؟ הַהֹלְכִֽים׃

ha·hō·lə·ḵîm.

the [is] going ؟

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר

way·yō·mer

and said

､ מֹשֶׁ֔ה

mō·šeh,

בִּנְעָרֵ֥ינוּ

bin·‘ā·rê·nū

וּבִזְקֵנֵ֖ינוּ

ū·ḇiz·qê·nê·nū

､ נֵלֵ֑ךְ

nê·lêḵ;

we will go ､

בְּבָנֵ֨ינוּ

bə·ḇā·nê·nū

､ וּבִבְנוֹתֵ֜נוּ

ū·ḇiḇ·nō·w·ṯê·nū

and our daughters ､

בְּצֹאנֵ֤נוּ

bə·ṣō·nê·nū

with our flocks

וּבִבְקָרֵ֙נוּ֙

ū·ḇiḇ·qā·rê·nū

– נֵלֵ֔ךְ

nê·lêḵ,

we will go –

כִּ֥י

kî

חַג־

ḥaḡ-

יְהוָ֖ה

Yah·weh

. לָֽנוּ׃

lā·nū.

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר

way·yō·mer

And he said

אֲלֵהֶ֗ם

’ă·lê·hem,

יְהִ֨י

כֵ֤ן

､ עִמָּכֶ֔ם

‘im·mā·ḵem,

with you ､

כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר

ka·’ă·šer

אֲשַׁלַּ֥ח

’ă·šal·laḥ

I let go

אֶתְכֶ֖ם

’eṯ·ḵem

וְאֶֽת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

– טַפְּכֶ֑ם

ṭap·pə·ḵem;

your little ones –

רְא֕וּ

rə·’ū

כִּ֥י

kî

רָעָ֖ה

rā·‘āh

evil [is]

נֶ֥גֶד

ne·ḡeḏ

. פְּנֵיכֶֽם׃

pə·nê·ḵem.

the face .

for the locusts ､

that they may come

the land

､ מִצְרָ֑יִם

miṣ·rā·yim;

of Egypt ､

וְיֹאכַל֙

and eat

on the land

[that] night –

and wind

הַקָּדִ֔ים

haq·qā·ḏîm,

the east

נָשָׂ֖א

. הָאַרְבֶּֽה׃

וַיַּ֣עַל

way·ya·‘al

And went up

הָֽאַרְבֶּ֗ה

עַ֚ל

the land

､ מִצְרַ֔יִם

of Egypt ､

וַיָּ֕נַח

[They were] severe

the hail .

on the trees ､

וּבְעֵ֥שֶׂב

or on the plants

､ הַשָּׂדֶ֖ה

of the field ､

בְּכָל־

אֶ֥רֶץ

’e·reṣ

the land

. מִצְרָֽיִם׃

miṣ·rā·yim.

of Egypt .

וַיְמַהֵ֣ר

way·ma·hêr

And in haste

פַּרְעֹ֔ה

par·‘ōh,

לִקְרֹ֖א

liq·rō

לְמֹשֶׁ֣ה

lə·mō·šeh

וּֽלְאַהֲרֹ֑ן

ū·lə·’a·hă·rōn;

､ וַיֹּ֗אמֶר

way·yō·mer,

and said ､

חָטָ֛אתִי

ḥā·ṭā·ṯî

לַיהוָ֥ה

Yah·weh

. אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֖ם

’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem

וְלָכֶֽם׃

wə·lā·ḵem.

And against you

וְעַתָּ֗ה

wə·‘at·tāh,

､ שָׂ֣א

､ נָ֤א

חַטָּאתִי֙

ḥaṭ·ṭā·ṯî

my sin

אַ֣ךְ

’aḵ

､ הַפַּ֔עַם

hap·pa·‘am,

וְהַעְתִּ֖ירוּ

wə·ha‘·tî·rū

לַיהוָ֣ה

Yah·weh

､ אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֑ם

’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem;

וְיָסֵר֙

wə·yā·sêr

that He may take away

מֵֽעָלַ֔י

mê·‘ā·lay,

. רַ֖ק

raq

הַמָּ֥וֶת

ham·mā·weṯ

. הַזֶּֽה׃

haz·zeh.

וַיֵּצֵ֖א

way·yê·ṣê

So he went out

מֵעִ֣ם

וַיֶּעְתַּ֖ר

that there may be

חֹ֖שֶׁךְ

עַל־

‘al-

אֶ֣רֶץ

’e·reṣ

the land

､ מִצְרָ֑יִם

miṣ·rā·yim;

of Egypt ､

וְיָמֵ֖שׁ

wə·yā·mêš

and even [which] may be felt

. חֹֽשֶׁךְ׃

. יֻצָּ֑ג

yuṣ·ṣāḡ;

let be kept back .

your little ones

יֵלֵ֥ךְ

. עִמָּכֶֽם׃

זְבָחִ֣ים

zə·ḇā·ḥîm

､ וְעֹל֑וֹת

wə·‘ō·lō·wṯ;

and burnt offerings ､

וְעָשִׂ֖ינוּ

wə·‘ā·śî·nū

that we may sacrifice

לַיהוָ֥ה

Yah·weh

. אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃

’ĕ·lō·hê·nū.

וְגַם־

wə·ḡam-

And also

מִקְנֵ֜נוּ

miq·nê·nū

יֵלֵ֣ךְ

yê·lêḵ

– עִמָּ֗נוּ

‘im·mā·nū,

with us –

לֹ֤א

lō

not

תִשָּׁאֵר֙

ṯiš·šā·’êr

shall be left behind

､ פַּרְסָ֔ה

par·sāh,

a hoof ､

כִּ֚י

kî

מִמֶּ֣נּוּ

mim·men·nū

נִקַּ֔ח

niq·qaḥ,

לַעֲבֹ֖ד

la·‘ă·ḇōḏ

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

יְהוָ֣ה

Yah·weh

– אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ

’ĕ·lō·hê·nū;

וַאֲנַ֣חְנוּ

wa·’ă·naḥ·nū

and even we

לֹֽא־

lō-

not

נֵדַ֗ע

nê·ḏa‘,

מַֽה־

mah-

נַּעֲבֹד֙

na·‘ă·ḇōḏ

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

､ יְהוָ֔ה

Yah·weh,

עַד־

‘aḏ-

בֹּאֵ֖נוּ

bō·’ê·nū

. שָֽׁמָּה׃

šām·māh.

וַיְחַזֵּ֥ק

way·ḥaz·zêq

יְהוָ֖ה

Yah·weh

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

לֵ֣ב

lêḇ

､ פַּרְעֹ֑ה

par·‘ōh;

of Pharaoh ､

וְלֹ֥א

wə·lō

and not

אָבָ֖ה

’ā·ḇāh

. לְשַׁלְּחָֽם׃

lə·šal·lə·ḥām.

them go .

וַיֹּֽאמֶר־

way·yō·mer-

And said

ל֥וֹ

lōw

to him

､ פַרְעֹ֖ה

p̄ar·‘ōh

לֵ֣ךְ

lêḵ

! מֵעָלָ֑י

mê·‘ā·lāy;

from me !

הִשָּׁ֣מֶר

hiš·šā·mer

לְךָ֗

lə·ḵā,

אֶל־

’el-

no

תֹּ֙סֶף֙

tō·sep̄

רְא֣וֹת

rə·’ō·wṯ

and see

! פָּנַ֔י

pā·nay,

my face !

כִּ֗י

kî,

בְּי֛וֹם

bə·yō·wm

in the day

רְאֹתְךָ֥

rə·’ō·ṯə·ḵā

､ פָנַ֖י

p̄ā·nay

my face ､

! תָּמֽוּת׃

tā·mūṯ.

you shall die !

וַיֹּ֥אמֶר

way·yō·mer

and said

､ מֹשֶׁ֖ה

mō·šeh

כֵּ֣ן

kên

､ דִּבַּ֑רְתָּ

dib·bar·tā;

You have spoken ､

לֹא־

lō-

אֹסִ֥ף

’ō·sip̄

ע֖וֹד

‘ō·wḏ

רְא֥וֹת

rə·’ō·wṯ

I will see

! פָּנֶֽיךָ׃
