､ וְאִיתָמָ֖ר

and Ithamar ､

בְּנֵ֥י

bə·nê

. אַהֲרֹֽן׃

’a·hă·rōn.

[and] Aaron .

וְעָשִׂ֥יתָ

wə·‘ā·śî·ṯā

And you shall make

בִגְדֵי־

ḇiḡ·ḏê-

קֹ֖דֶשׁ

qō·ḏeš

לְאַהֲרֹ֣ן

lə·’a·hă·rōn

､ אָחִ֑יךָ

’ā·ḥî·ḵā;

your brother ､

לְכָב֖וֹד

lə·ḵā·ḇō·wḏ

. וּלְתִפְאָֽרֶת׃

ū·lə·ṯip̄·’ā·reṯ.

וְאַתָּ֗ה

wə·’at·tāh,

So you

תְּדַבֵּר֙

tə·ḏab·bêr

אֶל־

’el-

to

כָּל־

kāl-

חַכְמֵי־

ḥaḵ·mê-

-

､ לֵ֔ב

lêḇ,

[who are] gifted artisans ､

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

’ă·šer

מִלֵּאתִ֖יו

mil·lê·ṯîw

I have filled with

ר֣וּחַ

rū·aḥ

､ חָכְמָ֑ה

ḥāḵ·māh

of wisdom ､

וְעָשׂ֞וּ

wə·‘ā·śū

that they may make

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

בִּגְדֵ֧י

biḡ·ḏê

אַהֲרֹ֛ן

’a·hă·rōn

､ לְקַדְּשׁ֖וֹ

lə·qad·də·šōw

to consecrate him ､

לְכַהֲנוֹ־

lə·ḵa·hă·nōw-

that he may minister as priest

And these [are]

הַבְּגָדִ֜ים

hab·bə·ḡā·ḏîm

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

’ă·šer

: יַעֲשׂ֗וּ

ya·‘ă·śū,

they shall make :

､ חֹ֤שֶׁן

ḥō·šen

a breastplate ､

､ וְאֵפוֹד֙

wə·’ê·p̄ō·wḏ

and an ephod ､

､ וּמְעִ֔יל

ū·mə·‘îl,

and a robe ､

וּכְתֹ֥נֶת

ū·ḵə·ṯō·neṯ

and a tunic

תַּשְׁבֵּ֖ץ

taš·bêṣ

skillfully woven

､ מִצְנֶ֣פֶת

miṣ·ne·p̄eṯ

a turban ､

､ וְאַבְנֵ֑ט

wə·’aḇ·nêṭ;

and a sash ､

וְעָשׂ֨וּ

wə·‘ā·śū

so they shall make

בִגְדֵי־

ḇiḡ·ḏê-

קֹ֜דֶשׁ

qō·ḏeš

לְאַהֲרֹ֥ן

lə·’a·hă·rōn

､ אָחִ֛יךָ

､ הַתְּכֵ֖לֶת

hat·tə·ḵê·leṯ

blue ､

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

､ הָֽאַרְגָּמָ֑ן

hā·’ar·gā·mān;

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

תּוֹלַ֥עַת

tō·w·la·‘aṯ

､ הַשָּׁנִ֖י

haš·šā·nî

scarlet [thread] ､

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

And the intricately woven band

אֲפֻדָּתוֹ֙

’ă·p̄ud·dā·ṯōw

of the ephod

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

’ă·šer

which [is]

עָלָ֔יו

‘ā·lāw,

on it

כְּמַעֲשֵׂ֖הוּ

kə·ma·‘ă·śê·hū

of the same

מִמֶּ֣נּוּ

mim·men·nū

: יִהְיֶ֑ה

yih·yeh;

shall be [made of] :

､ זָהָ֗ב

zā·hāḇ,

gold ､

תְּכֵ֧לֶת

tə·ḵê·leṯ

､ וְאַרְגָּמָ֛ן

wə·’ar·gā·mān

and purple ､

וְתוֹלַ֥עַת

wə·ṯō·w·la·‘aṯ

and

､ שָׁנִ֖י

וְלָ֣קַחְתָּ֔

And you shall take

onyx ､

וּפִתַּחְתָּ֣

בְּנֵ֥י

of the sons

､ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

､ וְאַרְגָּמָ֜ן

and purple ､

[The first] row [shall be]

､ אֹ֤דֶם

’ō·ḏem

､ פִּטְדָה֙

piṭ·ḏāh

a topaz ､

וּבָרֶ֔קֶת

ū·ḇā·re·qeṯ,

and an emerald

､ הַטּ֖וּר

haṭ·ṭūr

[this shall be] the row ､

. הָאֶחָֽד׃

וְהַטּ֖וּר

And the row [shall be]

הַשֵּׁנִ֑י

､ נֹ֥פֶךְ

､ סַפִּ֖יר

. וְיָהֲלֹֽם׃

and a diamond .

וְהַטּ֖וּר

wə·haṭ·ṭūr

And the row

הַשְּׁלִישִׁ֑י

haš·šə·lî·šî;

､ לֶ֥שֶׁם

le·šem

､ שְׁב֖וֹ

an agate ､

. וְאַחְלָֽמָה׃

and an amethyst .

וְהַטּוּר֙

wə·haṭ·ṭūr

And the row

הָרְבִיעִ֔י

､ תַּרְשִׁ֥ישׁ

a beryl ､

､ וְשֹׁ֖הַם

and an onyx ､

– וְיָשְׁפֵ֑ה

And you shall put

the breastplate

הַמִּשְׁפָּ֗ט

ham·miš·pāṭ,

אֶת־

’eṯ-

הָאוּרִים֙

hā·’ū·rîm

the Urim

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

– הַתֻּמִּ֔ים

hat·tum·mîm,

the Thummim –

וְהָיוּ֙

wə·hā·yū

and they shall be

עַל־

‘al-

לֵ֣ב

lêḇ

אַהֲרֹ֔ן

’a·hă·rōn,

בְּבֹא֖וֹ

bə·ḇō·’ōw

when he goes in

לִפְנֵ֣י

lip̄·nê

– יְהוָ֑ה

Yah·weh;

וְנָשָׂ֣א

אַ֠הֲרֹן

of the ephod

כְּלִ֥יל

. תְּכֵֽלֶת׃

tə·ḵê·leṯ.

of blue .

וְהָיָ֥ה

wə·hā·yāh

And there shall be

פִֽי־

רֹאשׁ֖וֹ

rō·šōw

– בְּתוֹכ֑וֹ

bə·ṯō·w·ḵōw;

in the middle of it –

שָׂפָ֡ה

יִֽהְיֶה֩

לְפִ֨יו

סָבִ֜יב

sā·ḇîḇ

מַעֲשֵׂ֣ה

ma·‘ă·śêh

אֹרֵ֗ג

כְּפִ֥י

a coat of mail ､

יִֽהְיֶה־

so that it

And you shall make

רִמֹּנֵי֙

rim·mō·nê

､ תְּכֵ֤לֶת

tə·ḵê·leṯ

of blue ､

､ וְאַרְגָּמָן֙

wə·’ar·gā·mān

and purple ､

וְתוֹלַ֣עַת

wə·ṯō·w·la·‘aṯ

and

שָׁנִ֔י

šā·nî,

､ עַל־

‘al-

- ､

שׁוּלָ֖יו

šū·lāw

､ סָבִ֑יב

sā·ḇîḇ;

וּפַעֲמֹנֵ֥י

ū·p̄a·‘ă·mō·nê

זָהָ֛ב

zā·hāḇ

בְּתוֹכָ֖ם

bə·ṯō·w·ḵām

– סָבִֽיב׃

sā·ḇîḇ.

פַּעֲמֹ֤ן

pa·‘ă·mōn

זָהָב֙

zā·hāḇ

､ וְרִמּ֔וֹן

wə·rim·mō·wn,

and a pomegranate ､

פַּֽעֲמֹ֥ן

pa·‘ă·mōn

זָהָ֖ב

zā·hāḇ

､ וְרִמּ֑וֹן

wə·rim·mō·wn;

and a pomegranate ､

עַל־

‘al-

שׁוּלֵ֥י

šū·lê

the hem

הַמְּעִ֖יל

ham·mə·‘îl

of the robe

. סָבִֽיב׃

sā·ḇîḇ.

וְהָיָ֥ה

wə·hā·yāh

And it shall be

עַֽל־

‘al-

אַהֲרֹ֖ן

’a·hă·rōn

– לְשָׁרֵ֑ת

lə·šā·rêṯ;

when he ministers –

וְנִשְׁמַ֣ע

wə·niš·ma‘

and will be heard

ק֠וֹלוֹ

qō·w·lōw

בְּבֹא֨וֹ

bə·ḇō·’ōw

אֶל־

’el-

הַקֹּ֜דֶשׁ

haq·qō·ḏeš

the holy [place]

לִפְנֵ֧י

lip̄·nê

､ יְהוָ֛ה

Yah·weh

､ וּבְצֵאת֖וֹ

ū·ḇə·ṣê·ṯōw

and when he comes out ､

וְלֹ֥א

wə·lō

that not

. יָמֽוּת׃

yā·mūṯ.

he may die .

עָלָיו֙

‘ā·lāw

on it

[like] the engraving

､ חֹתָ֔ם

ḥō·ṯām,

of a signet ､

קֹ֖דֶשׁ

qō·ḏeš

. לַֽיהוָֽה׃

Yah·weh.

וְשַׂמְתָּ֤

And you shall put

it

on

פְּתִ֣יל

､ תְּכֵ֔לֶת

blue ､

וְהָיָ֖ה

that it may be

– הַמִּצְנָ֑פֶת

ham·miṣ·nā·p̄eṯ;

the turban –

אֶל־

’el-

on

מ֥וּל

פְּנֵֽי־

הַמִּצְנֶ֖פֶת

ham·miṣ·ne·p̄eṯ

of the turban

. יִהְיֶֽה׃

yih·yeh.

it shall be .

וְהָיָה֮

So it shall be

מֵ֣צַח

mê·ṣaḥ

､ אַהֲרֹן֒

’a·hă·rōn

of Aaron ､

וְנָשָׂ֨א

wə·nā·śā

אַהֲרֹ֜ן

אֶת־

עֲוֺ֣ן

‘ă·wōn

､ הַקֳּדָשִׁ֗ים

haq·qo·ḏā·šîm,

of the holy things ､

אֲשֶׁ֤ר

’ă·šer

יַקְדִּ֙ישׁוּ֙

yaq·dî·šū

בְּנֵ֣י

bə·nê

the sons

יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל

לְכָֽל־

– קָדְשֵׁיהֶ֑ם

qā·ḏə·šê·hem;

וְהָיָ֤ה

and it shall be

עַל־

‘al-

on

מִצְחוֹ֙

miṣ·ḥōw

､ תָּמִ֔יד

tā·mîḏ,

לְרָצ֥וֹן

lə·rā·ṣō·wn

that they may be accepted

לָהֶ֖ם

lā·hem

לִפְנֵ֥י

lip̄·nê

. יְהוָֽה׃

Yah·weh.

וְשִׁבַּצְתָּ֙

wə·šib·baṣ·tā

And You shall skillfully weave

הַכְּתֹ֣נֶת

hak·kə·ṯō·neṯ

､ שֵׁ֔שׁ

šêš,

of fine linen [thread] ､

וְעָשִׂ֖יתָ

wə·‘ā·śî·ṯā

and you shall make

מִצְנֶ֣פֶת

miṣ·ne·p̄eṯ

､ שֵׁ֑שׁ

šêš;

of fine linen ､

וְאַבְנֵ֥ט

wə·’aḇ·nêṭ

and the sash

תַּעֲשֶׂ֖ה

ta·‘ă·śeh

מַעֲשֵׂ֥ה

ma·‘ă·śêh

the work

. רֹקֵֽם׃

rō·qêm.

וְלִבְנֵ֤י

wə·liḇ·nê

אַהֲרֹן֙

’a·hă·rōn

תַּעֲשֶׂ֣ה

ta·‘ă·śeh

､ כֻתֳּנֹ֔ת

ḵut·to·nōṯ,

וְעָשִׂ֥יתָ

wə·‘ā·śî·ṯā

and you shall make

לָהֶ֖ם

lā·hem

､ אַבְנֵטִ֑ים

’aḇ·nê·ṭîm;

וּמִגְבָּעוֹת֙

ū·miḡ·bā·‘ō·wṯ

and hats

תַּעֲשֶׂ֣ה

ta·‘ă·śeh

לָהֶ֔ם

lā·hem,

לְכָב֖וֹד

lə·ḵā·ḇō·wḏ

. וּלְתִפְאָֽרֶת׃

ū·lə·ṯip̄·’ā·reṯ.

and beauty .

וְהִלְבַּשְׁתָּ֤

wə·hil·baš·tā

So you shall put on

אֹתָם֙

’ō·ṯām

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

אַהֲרֹ֣ן

’a·hă·rōn

､ אָחִ֔יךָ

’ā·ḥî·ḵā,

your brother ､

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

בָּנָ֖יו

bā·nāw

אִתּ֑וֹ

’it·tōw;

with him

וּמָשַׁחְתָּ֨

ū·mā·šaḥ·tā

and You shall anoint

אֹתָ֜ם

’ō·ṯām

וּמִלֵּאתָ֧

ū·mil·lê·ṯā

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

יָדָ֛ם

yā·ḏām

וְקִדַּשְׁתָּ֥

wə·qid·daš·tā

אֹתָ֖ם

’ō·ṯām

וְכִהֲנ֥וּ

wə·ḵi·hă·nū

that they may minister as priests

. לִֽי׃

lî.

to Me .

וַעֲשֵׂ֤ה

wa·‘ă·śêh

And you shall make

לָהֶם֙

lā·hem

מִכְנְסֵי־

miḵ·nə·sê-

בָ֔ד

ḇāḏ,

לְכַסּ֖וֹת

lə·ḵas·sō·wṯ

בְּשַׂ֣ר

bə·śar

-

– עֶרְוָ֑ה

‘er·wāh;

their nakedness –

מִמָּתְנַ֥יִם

mim·mā·ṯə·na·yim

וְעַד־

wə·‘aḏ-

and to

יְרֵכַ֖יִם

yə·rê·ḵa·yim

. יִהְיֽוּ׃

yih·yū.

they shall reach .

וְהָיוּ֩

wə·hā·yū

And they shall be

עַל־

‘al-

on

､ אַהֲרֹ֨ן

’a·hă·rōn

וְעַל־

wə·‘al-

and on

､ בָּנָ֜יו

bā·nāw

בְּבֹאָ֣ם ׀

bə·ḇō·’ām

אֶל־

’el-

אֹ֣הֶל

’ō·hel

､ מוֹעֵ֗ד

mō·w·‘êḏ,

of meeting ､

א֣וֹ

’ōw

or

בְגִשְׁתָּ֤ם

ḇə·ḡiš·tām

when they come near

אֶל־

’el-

הַמִּזְבֵּ֙חַ֙

ham·miz·bê·aḥ

לְשָׁרֵ֣ת

lə·šā·rêṯ

､ בַּקֹּ֔דֶשׁ

baq·qō·ḏeš,

in the holy [place] ､

וְלֹא־

wə·lō-

that not

יִשְׂא֥וּ

yiś·’ū

､ עָוֺ֖ן

‘ā·wōn

. וָמֵ֑תוּ

wā·mê·ṯū;

and die .

חֻקַּ֥ת

ḥuq·qaṯ

[it shall be] a statute

עוֹלָ֛ם

‘ō·w·lām

ל֖וֹ

lōw

to him

וּלְזַרְע֥וֹ

ū·lə·zar·‘ōw

and his descendants

. אַחֲרָֽיו׃

’a·ḥă·rāw.
