those who placed [their] seal on [the document were]

､ נְחֶמְיָ֧ה

､ הַתִּרְשָׁ֛תָא

the governor ､

בֶּן־

of Hachaliah ､

and Zedekiah ､

､ שְׂרָיָ֥ה

､ עֲזַרְיָ֖ה

､ יִרְמְיָֽה׃

yir·mə·yāh.

､ פַּשְׁח֥וּר

paš·ḥūr

､ אֲמַרְיָ֖ה

’ă·mar·yāh

､ מַלְכִּיָּֽה׃

mal·kî·yāh.

､ חַטּ֥וּשׁ

ḥaṭ·ṭūš

､ שְׁבַנְיָ֖ה

šə·ḇan·yāh

､ מַלּֽוּךְ׃

mal·lūḵ.

､ חָרִ֥ם

ḥā·rim

､ מְרֵמ֖וֹת

mə·rê·mō·wṯ

､ עֹֽבַדְיָֽה׃

‘ō·ḇaḏ·yāh.

､ דָּנִיֵּ֥אל

dā·nî·yêl

､ גִּנְּת֖וֹן

gin·nə·ṯō·wn

､ בָּרֽוּךְ׃

bā·rūḵ.

､ מְשֻׁלָּ֥ם

mə·šul·lām

､ אֲבִיָּ֖ה

’ă·ḇî·yāh

､ מִיָּמִֽן׃

mî·yā·min.

､ מַֽעַזְיָ֥ה

ma·‘az·yāh

､ בִלְגַּ֖י

ḇil·gay

. שְׁמַֽעְיָ֑ה

šə·ma‘·yāh;

[and] Shemaiah .

’êl·leh

. הַכֹּהֲנִֽים׃

hak·kō·hă·nîm.

And the Levites –

וְיֵשׁ֙וּעַ֙

wə·yê·šū·a‘

בֶּן־

ben-

､ אֲזַנְיָ֔ה

’ă·zan·yāh,

of Azaniah ､

בִּנּ֕וּי

bin·nui

מִבְּנֵ֥י

mib·bə·nê

of the sons

､ חֵנָדָ֖ד

ḥê·nā·ḏāḏ

of Henadad ､

– קַדְמִיאֵֽל׃

qaḏ·mî·’êl.

[and] Kadmiel –

､ וַאֲחֵיהֶ֑ם

wa·’ă·ḥê·hem;

and their brothers ､

､ שְׁבַנְיָ֧ה

הֽוֹדִיָּ֛ה

hō·w·ḏî·yāh

､ קְלִיטָ֖א

qə·lî·ṭā

､ פְּלָאיָ֥ה

pə·lā·yāh

､ חָנָֽן׃

mî·ḵā

､ רְח֖וֹב

､ חֲשַׁבְיָֽה׃

､ זַכּ֥וּר

and Ahijah ､

Anan ､

. בַּעֲנָֽה׃

[and] Baanah .

The Vows of the Covenant

וּשְׁאָ֣ר

And the rest

of the people ､

､ הַכֹּהֲנִ֣ים

the priests ､

､ הַ֠לְוִיִּם

hal·wî·yim

the Levites ､

､ הַשּׁוֹעֲרִ֨ים

haš·šō·w·‘ă·rîm

the gatekeepers ､

､ הַמְשֹׁרְרִ֜ים

ham·šō·rə·rîm

the singers ､

､ הַנְּתִינִ֗ים

han·nə·ṯî·nîm,

the Nethinim ､

וְֽכָל־

wə·ḵāl

and all

הַנִּבְדָּ֞ל

han·niḇ·dāl

those who had separated themselves

מֵעַמֵּ֤י

mê·‘am·mê

from the peoples

הָאֲרָצוֹת֙

hā·’ă·rā·ṣō·wṯ

of the lands

אֶל־

’el-

to

תּוֹרַ֣ת

tō·w·raṯ

the Law

､ הָאֱלֹהִ֔ים

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm,

of God ､

､ נְשֵׁיהֶ֖ם

nə·šê·hem

their wives ､

､ בְּנֵיהֶ֣ם

bə·nê·hem

､ וּבְנֹתֵיהֶ֑ם

ū·ḇə·nō·ṯê·hem;

and their daughters ､

כֹּ֖ל

kōl

､ יוֹדֵ֥עַ

yō·w·ḏê·a‘

who had knowledge ､

– מֵבִֽין׃

mê·ḇîn.

and understanding –

מַחֲזִיקִ֣ים

ma·ḥă·zî·qîm

עַל־

‘al-

with

､ אֲחֵיהֶם֮

’ă·ḥê·hem

their brothers ､

､ אַדִּירֵיהֶם֒

’ad·dî·rê·hem

their nobles ､

וּבָאִ֞ים

ū·ḇā·’îm

､ בְּאָלָ֣ה

bə·’ā·lāh

into an oath ､

､ וּבִשְׁבוּעָ֗ה

ū·ḇiš·ḇū·‘āh,

and a curse ､

לָלֶ֙כֶת֙

lā·le·ḵeṯ

､ בְּתוֹרַ֣ת

bə·ṯō·w·raṯ

in Law ､

הָאֱלֹהִ֔ים

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm,

of God

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

’ă·šer

נִתְּנָ֔ה

nit·tə·nāh,

בְּיַ֖ד

bə·yaḏ

by

מֹשֶׁ֣ה

mō·šeh

עֶֽבֶד־

‘e·ḇeḏ-

､ הָֽאֱלֹהִ֑ים

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm;

of God ､

וְלִשְׁמ֣וֹר

wə·liš·mō·wr

and to observe

וְלַעֲשׂ֗וֹת

wə·la·‘ă·śō·wṯ,

and do

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

כָּל־

kāl-

מִצְוֺת֙

miṣ·wōṯ

the commandments

יְהוָ֣ה

Yah·weh

אֲדֹנֵ֔ינוּ

’ă·ḏō·nê·nū,

וּמִשְׁפָּטָ֖יו

ū·miš·pā·ṭāw

and His ordinances

– וְחֻקָּֽיו׃

wə·ḥuq·qāw.

and His statutes –

וַאֲשֶׁ֛ר

wa·’ă·šer

and

לֹא־

lō-

not

נִתֵּ֥ן

nit·tên

we would give as wives

בְּנֹתֵ֖ינוּ

bə·nō·ṯê·nū

לְעַמֵּ֣י

lə·‘am·mê

to the peoples

､ הָאָ֑רֶץ

hā·’ā·reṣ;

of the land ､

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

בְּנֹ֣תֵיהֶ֔ם

bə·nō·ṯê·hem,

their daughters

לֹ֥א

נִקַּ֖ח

. לְבָנֵֽינוּ׃

וְעַמֵּ֣י

And [if] the peoples

הָאָ֡רֶץ

of the land

הַֽמְבִיאִים֩

ham·ḇî·’îm

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

הַמַּקָּח֨וֹת

ham·maq·qā·ḥō·wṯ

וְכָל־

wə·ḵāl

or any

שֶׁ֜בֶר

še·ḇer

בְּי֤וֹם

bə·yō·wm

on day

הַשַּׁבָּת֙

haš·šab·bāṯ

､ לִמְכּ֔וֹר

lim·kō·wr,

to sell ､

לֹא־

lō-

not

נִקַּ֥ח

niq·qaḥ

we would buy it

מֵהֶ֛ם

mê·hem

､ בַּשַּׁבָּ֖ת

baš·šab·bāṯ

on the Sabbath ､

– וּבְי֣וֹם

ū·ḇə·yō·wm

or on a day –

קֹ֑דֶשׁ

qō·ḏeš;

וְנִטֹּ֛שׁ

wə·niṭ·ṭōš

and we would forego

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

､ הַשָּׁנָ֥ה

haš·šā·nāh

the year's [produce] ､

הַשְּׁבִיעִ֖ית

haš·šə·ḇî·‘îṯ

וּמַשָּׁ֥א

ū·maš·šā

and the exacting

כָל־

ḵāl

. יָֽד׃

yāḏ.

of debt .

וְהֶעֱמַ֤דְנוּ

wə·he·‘ĕ·maḏ·nū

And we made

עָלֵ֙ינוּ֙

‘ā·lê·nū

מִצְוֺ֔ת

miṣ·wōṯ,

לָתֵ֥ת

lā·ṯêṯ

עָלֵ֛ינוּ

‘ā·lê·nū

שְׁלִשִׁ֥ית

šə·li·šîṯ

הַשֶּׁ֖קֶל

haš·še·qel

בַּשָּׁנָ֑ה

baš·šā·nāh;

לַעֲבֹדַ֖ת

la·‘ă·ḇō·ḏaṯ

for the service

בֵּ֥ית

bêṯ

of the house

– אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃

’ĕ·lō·hê·nū.

of our God –

לְלֶ֣חֶם

lə·le·ḥem

הַֽמַּעֲרֶ֡כֶת

ham·ma·‘ă·re·ḵeṯ

､ וּמִנְחַ֣ת

ū·min·ḥaṯ

for grain offering ､

הַתָּמִ֣יד

hat·tā·mîḏ

､ וּלְעוֹלַ֣ת

ū·lə·‘ō·w·laṯ

for burnt offering ､

הַ֠תָּמִיד

hat·tā·mîḏ

of the regular

､ הַשַּׁבָּת֨וֹת

haš·šab·bā·ṯō·wṯ

of the Sabbaths ､

､ הֶחֳדָשִׁ֜ים

he·ḥo·ḏā·šîm

the New Moons ､

､ לַמּוֹעֲדִ֗ים

lam·mō·w·‘ă·ḏîm,

and the set feasts ､

וְלַקֳּדָשִׁים֙

wə·laq·qo·ḏā·šîm

for the holy things

וְלַ֣חַטָּא֔וֹת

wə·la·ḥaṭ·ṭā·’ō·wṯ,

for the sin offerings

לְכַפֵּ֖ר

lə·ḵap·pêr

to make atonement

עַל־

‘al-

､ יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל

yiś·rā·’êl;

וְכֹ֖ל

wə·ḵōl

and all

מְלֶ֥אכֶת

mə·le·ḵeṯ

the work

בֵּית־

bêṯ-

of the house

. אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃

’ĕ·lō·hê·nū.

שָׁנָ֣ה

､ בְשָׁנָ֑ה

by year ､

לְבַעֵ֗ר

lə·ḇa·‘êr,

עַל־

‘al-

on

מִזְבַּח֙

miz·baḥ

יְהוָ֣ה

Yah·weh

､ אֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ

’ĕ·lō·hê·nū,

כַּכָּת֖וּב

as [it is] written

– בַּתּוֹרָֽה׃

וּלְהָבִ֞יא

and [we made ordinances] to bring

בִּכּוּרֵ֣י

the firstfruits

､ אַדְמָתֵ֗נוּ

’aḏ·mā·ṯê·nū,

of our ground ､

וּבִכּוּרֵ֛י

ū·ḇik·kū·rê

and the firstfruits

כָּל־

kāl-

of all

פְּרִ֥י

כָל־

ḵāl

of all

､ עֵ֖ץ

‘êṣ

שָׁנָ֣ה

šā·nāh

､ בְשָׁנָ֑ה

to the house

– יְהוָֽה׃

Yah·weh.

of Yahweh –

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

בְּכֹר֤וֹת

､ בָּנֵ֙ינוּ֙

of our sons ､

､ וּבְהֶמְתֵּ֔ינוּ

ū·ḇə·hem·tê·nū,

and our cattle ､

כַּכָּת֖וּב

kak·kā·ṯūḇ

as [it is] written

､ בַּתּוֹרָ֑ה

bat·tō·w·rāh;

in the Law ､

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

בְּכוֹרֵ֨י

bə·ḵō·w·rê

בְקָרֵ֜ינוּ

ḇə·qā·rê·nū

､ וְצֹאנֵ֗ינוּ

wə·ṣō·nê·nū,

and our flocks ､

לְהָבִיא֙

lə·hā·ḇî

לְבֵ֣ית

lə·ḇêṯ

to the house

､ אֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ

’ĕ·lō·hê·nū,

of our God ､

לַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים

lak·kō·hă·nîm,

to the priests

הַמְשָׁרְתִ֖ים

ham·šā·rə·ṯîm

בְּבֵ֥ית

bə·ḇêṯ

in the house

. אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃

’ĕ·lō·hê·nū.

of our God .

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

And

רֵאשִׁ֣ית

rê·šîṯ

the firstfruits

､ עֲרִיסֹתֵ֣ינוּ

‘ă·rî·sō·ṯê·nū

of our dough ､

､ וּ֠תְרוּמֹתֵינוּ

ū·ṯə·rū·mō·ṯê·nū

and our offerings ､

וּפְרִ֨י

ū·p̄ə·rî

and the fruit from

כָל־

ḵāl

､ עֵ֜ץ

‘êṣ

of trees ､

תִּיר֣וֹשׁ

tî·rō·wōš

､ וְיִצְהָ֗ר

wə·yiṣ·hār,

and oil ､

נָבִ֤יא

nā·ḇî

､ לַכֹּהֲנִים֙

lak·kō·hă·nîm

to the priests ､

אֶל־

’el-

to

לִשְׁכ֣וֹת

liš·ḵō·wṯ

בֵּית־

bêṯ-

of the house

– אֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ

’ĕ·lō·hê·nū,

of our God –

וּמַעְשַׂ֥ר

ū·ma‘·śar

and to bring the tithes

אַדְמָתֵ֖נוּ

’aḏ·mā·ṯê·nū

､ לַלְוִיִּ֑ם

lal·wî·yim;

to the Levites ､

וְהֵם֙

wə·hêm

הַלְוִיִּ֔ם

hal·wî·yim,

הַֽמְעַשְּׂרִ֔ים

ham·‘aś·śə·rîm,

the should receive tithes

בְּכֹ֖ל

bə·ḵōl

in all

עָרֵ֥י

‘ā·rê

. עֲבֹדָתֵֽנוּ׃

‘ă·ḇō·ḏā·ṯê·nū.

וְהָיָ֨ה

wə·hā·yāh

And shall be

הַכֹּהֵ֧ן

hak·kō·hên

בֶּֽן־

ben-

אַהֲרֹ֛ן

’a·hă·rōn

עִם־

‘im-

with

､ הַלְוִיִּ֖ם

hal·wî·yim

the Levites ､

– בַּעְשֵׂ֣ר

ba‘·śêr

when receive tithes –

הַלְוִיִּ֑ם

hal·wî·yim;

וְהַלְוִיִּ֞ם

wə·hal·wî·yim

and the Levites

יַעֲל֨וּ

ya·‘ă·lū

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

מַעֲשַׂ֤ר

ma·‘ă·śar

הַֽמַּעֲשֵׂר֙

ham·ma·‘ă·śêr

of the tithes

לְבֵ֣ית

lə·ḇêṯ

to the house

､ אֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ

’ĕ·lō·hê·nū,

of our God ､

אֶל־

’el-

to

､ הַלְּשָׁכ֖וֹת

the rooms ､

לְבֵ֥ית

lə·ḇêṯ

the storehouse .

כִּ֣י

the storerooms ､

יָבִ֨יאוּ

בְנֵי־

the sons

יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל

וּבְנֵ֣י

ū·ḇə·nê

and the sons of

הַלֵּוִ֗י

hal·lê·wî,

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

תְּרוּמַ֣ת

tə·rū·maṯ

､ הַדָּגָן֮

had·dā·ḡān

of the grain ､

､ הַתִּיר֣וֹשׁ

hat·tî·rō·wōš

of the new wine ､

､ וְהַיִּצְהָר֒

wə·hay·yiṣ·hār

and the oil ､

וְשָׁם֙

wə·šām

כְּלֵ֣י

kə·lê

､ הַמִּקְדָּ֔שׁ

ham·miq·dāš,

of the sanctuary [are] ､

וְהַכֹּהֲנִים֙

wə·hak·kō·hă·nîm

and [where] the priests

､ הַמְשָׁ֣רְתִ֔ים

ham·šā·rə·ṯîm,

who minister ､

､ וְהַשּׁוֹעֲרִ֖ים

wə·haš·šō·w·‘ă·rîm

and the gatekeepers ､

. וְהַמְשֹׁרְרִ֑ים

wə·ham·šō·rə·rîm;

and the singers [are] .

וְלֹ֥א

wə·lō

And not

נַעֲזֹ֖ב

na·‘ă·zōḇ

we will neglect

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

בֵּ֥ית

bêṯ

. אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃

’ĕ·lō·hê·nū.

of our God .
