וַיֵּ֙שֶׁב֙

way·yê·šeḇ

יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל

yiś·rā·’êl,

בְּאֶ֖רֶץ

bə·’e·reṣ

in the land

. הָאֱמֹרִֽי׃

hā·’ĕ·mō·rî.

of the Amorites .

וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח

way·yiš·laḥ

And sent

מֹשֶׁה֙

mō·šeh

לְרַגֵּ֣ל

lə·rag·gêl

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

､ יַעְזֵ֔ר

ya‘·zêr,

וַֽיִּלְכְּד֖וּ

way·yil·kə·ḏū

בְּנֹתֶ֑יהָ

bə·nō·ṯe·hā;

[ויירש]

way·yî·reš

(וַיּ֖וֹרֶשׁ)

אֶת־

הָאֱמֹרִ֥י

hā·’ĕ·mō·rî

אֲשֶׁר־

וַיִּפְנוּ֙

And they turned

וַֽיַּעֲל֔וּ

way·ya·‘ă·lū,

and went up

דֶּ֖רֶךְ

de·reḵ

by the way to

､ הַבָּשָׁ֑ן

hab·bā·šān;

וַיֵּצֵ֣א

way·yê·ṣê

עוֹג֩

‘ō·wḡ

מֶֽלֶךְ־

me·leḵ-

הַבָּשָׁ֨ן

hab·bā·šān

לִקְרָאתָ֜ם

liq·rā·ṯām

､ ה֧וּא

hū

he ､

וְכָל־

wə·ḵāl

and all

､ עַמּ֛וֹ

‘am·mōw

לַמִּלְחָמָ֖ה

lam·mil·ḥā·māh

. אֶדְרֶֽעִי׃

’eḏ·re·‘î.

at Edrei .

וַיֹּ֨אמֶר

way·yō·mer

And said

יְהוָ֤ה

Yah·weh

אֶל־

’el-

to

､ מֹשֶׁה֙

mō·šeh

– אַל־

’al-

not –

תִּירָ֣א

tî·rā

אֹת֔וֹ

’ō·ṯōw,

כִּ֣י

kî

､ בְיָדְךָ֞

into your hand ､

נָתַ֧תִּי

nā·ṯat·tî

I have delivered

אֹת֛וֹ

’ō·ṯōw

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

כָּל־

kāl-

､ עַמּ֖וֹ

‘am·mōw

with his people ､

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

– אַרְצ֑וֹ

’ar·ṣōw;

וְעָשִׂ֣יתָ

wə·‘ā·śî·ṯā

and you shall do

לּ֔וֹ

lōw,

to him

כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר

ka·’ă·šer

as

עָשִׂ֗יתָ

‘ā·śî·ṯā,

לְסִיחֹן֙

lə·sî·ḥōn

מֶ֣לֶךְ

me·leḵ

､ הָֽאֱמֹרִ֔י

hā·’ĕ·mō·rî,

of the Amorites ､

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

’ă·šer

יוֹשֵׁ֖ב

yō·wō·šêḇ

. בְּחֶשְׁבּֽוֹן׃

bə·ḥeš·bō·wn.

וַיַּכּ֨וּ

way·yak·kū

So they defeated

אֹת֤וֹ

’ō·ṯōw

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

､ בָּנָיו֙

bā·nāw

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

כָּל־

kāl-

､ עַמּ֔וֹ

‘am·mōw,

עַד־

‘aḏ-

בִּלְתִּ֥י

bil·tî

no

הִשְׁאִֽיר־

hiš·’îr-

ל֖וֹ

lōw

– שָׂרִ֑יד

śā·rîḏ;

וַיִּֽירְשׁ֖וּ

way·yî·rə·šū

and they took possession

אֶת־

’eṯ-

of

. אַרְצֽוֹ׃

’ar·ṣōw.
