הַיָּפָ֖ה

؟ בַּנָּשִׁ֑ים
ban·nā·šîm;
אָ֚נָה
’ā·nāh
؟ פָּנָ֣ה
pā·nāh
דוֹדֵ֔ךְ
ḏō·w·ḏêḵ,
וּנְבַקְשֶׁ֖נּוּ
ū·nə·ḇaq·šen·nū
. עִמָּֽךְ׃
‘im·māḵ.

יָרַ֣ד
yā·raḏ
､ לְגַנּ֔וֹ
lə·ḡan·nōw,
to his garden ､
לַעֲרוּג֖וֹת
la·‘ă·rū·ḡō·wṯ
to the beds
､ הַבֹּ֑שֶׂם
hab·bō·śem;
of spices ､
לִרְעוֹת֙
lir·‘ō·wṯ
､ בַּגַּנִּ֔ים
bag·gan·nîm,
in the gardens ､
וְלִלְקֹ֖ט
wə·lil·qōṭ
and to gather
. שֽׁוֹשַׁנִּֽים׃
šō·wō·šan·nîm.

’ă·nî
I [am]
､ לְדוֹדִי֙
lə·ḏō·w·ḏî
of my beloved ､
וְדוֹדִ֣י
wə·ḏō·w·ḏî
and my beloved [is]

הָרֹעֶ֖ה
hā·rō·‘eh
. בַּשׁוֹשַׁנִּֽים׃‪‬‪‬
baš·šō·wō·šan·nîm.

､ רַעְיָתִי֙

my love ､
､ כְּתִרְצָ֔ה
kə·ṯir·ṣāh,
as Tirzah ､
נָאוָ֖ה
nā·wāh
､ כִּירוּשָׁלִָ֑ם
kî·rū·šā·lim;
as Jerusalem ､
אֲיֻמָּ֖ה
’ă·yum·māh
. כַּנִּדְגָּלֽוֹת׃
kan·niḏ·gā·lō·wṯ.
as [an army] with banners .

hā·sêb·bî
עֵינַ֙יִךְ֙
‘ê·na·yiḵ
מִנֶּגְדִּ֔י
min·neḡ·dî,
from me
שֶׁ֥הֵ֖ם
še·hêm
הִרְהִיבֻ֑נִי
hir·hî·ḇu·nî;
שַׂעְרֵךְ֙
śa‘·rêḵ
Your hair [is]
כְּעֵ֣דֶר
kə·‘ê·ḏer
הָֽעִזִּ֔ים
hā·‘iz·zîm,
שֶׁגָּלְשׁ֖וּ
šeg·gā·lə·šū
מִן־
min-
. הַגִּלְעָֽד׃
hag·gil·‘āḏ.

šin·na·yiḵ
כְּעֵ֣דֶר
kə·‘ê·ḏer
הָֽרְחֵלִ֔ים
hā·rə·ḥê·lîm,
שֶׁעָל֖וּ
še·‘ā·lū
מִן־
min-
､ הָרַחְצָ֑ה
hā·raḥ·ṣāh;
the washing ､
שֶׁכֻּלָּם֙
šek·kul·lām
､ מַתְאִימ֔וֹת
maṯ·’î·mō·wṯ,
וְשַׁכֻּלָ֖ה
wə·šak·ku·lāh
and barren
אֵ֥ין
’ên
none [is]
. בָּהֶֽם׃
bā·hem.

כְּפֶ֤לַח
kə·p̄e·laḥ
הָרִמּוֹן֙
hā·rim·mō·wn
רַקָּתֵ֔ךְ
raq·qā·ṯêḵ,
מִבַּ֖עַד
mib·ba·‘aḏ
. לְצַמָּתֵֽךְ׃
lə·ṣam·mā·ṯêḵ.

שִׁשִּׁ֥ים
šiš·šîm
הֵ֙מָּה֙
hêm·māh
､ מְּלָכ֔וֹת
mə·lā·ḵō·wṯ,
the queens ､
וּשְׁמֹנִ֖ים
ū·šə·mō·nîm
and eighty
､ פִּֽילַגְשִׁ֑ים
pî·laḡ·šîm;
וַעֲלָמ֖וֹת
wa·‘ă·lā·mō·wṯ
אֵ֥ין
’ên
. מִסְפָּֽר׃

הִיא֙

､ יוֹנָתִ֣י

My dove ､
תַמָּתִ֔י

､ לְאִמָּ֔הּ
lə·’im·māh,
of her mother ､
בָּרָ֥ה
bā·rāh
the pure [one]
הִ֖יא
hî
she [is]
לְיֽוֹלַדְתָּ֑הּ
lə·yō·w·laḏ·tāh;
of the one who bore her
רָא֤וּהָ
rā·’ū·hā
בָנוֹת֙
ḇā·nō·wṯ
וַֽיְאַשְּׁר֔וּהָ
way·’aš·šə·rū·hā,
מְלָכ֥וֹת
mə·lā·ḵō·wṯ
the queens
､ וּפִֽילַגְשִׁ֖ים
ū·p̄î·laḡ·šîm
and the concubines ､
. וַֽיְהַלְלֽוּהָ׃
way·hal·lū·hā.

؟ כַּנִּדְגָּלֽוֹת׃

הַגֶּ֔פֶן
hag·ge·p̄en,
the vine
הֵנֵ֖צוּ
hê·nê·ṣū
. הָרִמֹּנִֽים׃
hā·rim·mō·nîm.
[And] the pomegranates .

I was aware ､
נַפְשִׁ֣י
nap̄·šî
My soul
שָׂמַ֔תְנִי
śā·maṯ·nî,
מַרְכְּב֖וֹת
mar·kə·ḇō·wṯ
[As] the chariots
עַמִּי־
‘am·mî-
of my people
. נָדִֽיב׃
nā·ḏîḇ.

in the Shulammitess ؟

as it were the dance

ham·ma·ḥă·nā·yim.
