("Baal's village".) A Canaanite idol sanctuary on the borders of Ephraim and Benjamin. There Absalom had his sheep farm, and invited all David's sons to feast at his sheepshearing, and killed Amnon (2Sa 13:23).
Now it came about after two full years that Absalom had sheepshearers in Baal-hazor, which is near Ephraim, and Absalom invited all the king's sons.
