to draw back or apostatize in matters of religion (Ac 21:21; 2Th 2:3; 1Ti 4:1). This may be either partial (Pr 14:14) or complete (Heb. 6:4-6; 10:38, 39). The apostasy may be both doctrinal and moral.
The disloyal will get what their conduct deserves, and a good man, what his [deeds deserve.]
But they have been told about you that you teach all the Jews who are among the Gentiles to abandon Moses, by telling them not to circumcise their children or to walk in our customs.
