MANAHEM was the sixteenth king of Israel, and son of Gadi. He revenged the death of his master Zachariah, by killing Shallum, son of Jabesh, who had usurped the crown of Israel, A.M. 3232, 2Ki 15:13, &c. Manahem reigned in his stead.
