Then you must delegate some of your authority to him, so that the whole community of the Israelites will be obedient.

You will say to them, 'This is the offering made by fire which you must offer to the Lord: two unblemished lambs one year old each day for a continual burnt offering.

The first lamb you must offer in the morning, and the second lamb you must offer in the late afternoon,

"'And its drink offering must be one quarter of a hin for each lamb. You must pour out the strong drink as a drink offering to the Lord in the holy place.

And the second lamb you must offer in the late afternoon; just as you offered the grain offering and drink offering in the morning, you must offer it as an offering made by fire, as a pleasing aroma to the Lord.

"'On the Sabbath day, you must offer two unblemished lambs a year old, and two-tenths of an ephah of finely ground flour as a grain offering, mixed with olive oil, along with its drink offering.

"'On the first day of each month you must offer as a burnt offering to the Lord two young bulls, one ram, and seven unblemished lambs a year old,

And one male goat must be offered to the Lord as a purification offering, in addition to the continual burnt offering and its drink offering.

On the fifteenth day of this month [is] a religious feast, unleavened bread must be eaten for seven days.

And on the first day there is to be a holy assembly; you must do no ordinary work on it.

but ye shall bring near - as an altar-flame - an ascending-sacrifice unto Yahweh, - two choice bullocks and one ram, - and seven he-lambs a year old, without defect, must they be for you;

"You must measure from outside the wall of the town on the east 1,000 yards, and on the south side 1,000 yards, and on the west side 1,000 yards, and on the north side 1,000 yards, with the town in the middle. This territory must belong to them as grazing land for the towns.

“The cities you give the Levites will include six cities of refuge, which you must provide so that the one who kills someone may flee there; in addition to these, give 42 other cities.

"So the total of the towns you will give the Levites is forty-eight. You must give these together with their grazing lands.

The towns you will give must be from the possession of the Israelites. From the larger tribes you must give more; and from the smaller tribes fewer. Each must contribute some of its own towns to the Levites in proportion to the inheritance allocated to each.

you must then designate some towns as towns of refuge for you, to which a person who has killed someone unintentionally may flee.

And they must stand as your towns of refuge from the avenger in order that the killer may not die until he has stood trial before the community.

These towns that you must give shall be your six towns for refuge.

"You must give three towns on this side of the Jordan, and you must give three towns in the land of Canaan; they must be towns of refuge.

" 'But if he hit him with an object of iron, so that he dies, the killer must surely be put to death.

And if he hit him with a stone in the hand, by which he will die, and he does die, he [is] a killer; the killer must surely be put to death.
