Then came some of the Pharisees to Him to put Him to the proof by the question, "Has a man a right to divorce his wife whenever he chooses?"

And I tell you, whoever divorces his wife and marries another woman commits sexual unfaithfulness [toward her], unless the reason for the divorce was sexual unfaithfulness [on his wife's part]. And the person who marries a woman who has been divorced commits sexual sin with her [i.e., because she is still rightfully married to her first husband]."

They say to him, Because no man has hired us. He says to them, Go also ye into the vineyard and whatsoever may be just ye shall receive.

He said to them, "You will indeed drink my cup, but to sit at my right hand and at my left is not mine to grant, but [is] for those for whom it has been prepared by my Father."

Let it not be so among you: but if anyone has a desire to become great among you, let him be your servant;

And whoever has a desire to be first among you, let him take the lowest place:

And if any one say anything to you, ye shall say, The Lord has need of them, and straightway he will send them.

Now this has come to pass, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet, saying,

and He says to them, It has been written, My house shall be called a house of prayer: but you make it a den of thieves.

When the disciples saw it, they were astonished and asked, “How is it that the fig tree has withered away all at once?”

Jesus replied to them, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, if you have faith [personal trust and confidence in Me] and do not doubt or allow yourself to be drawn in two directions, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen [if God wills it].
