You put all things under his control." For when he put all things under his control, he left nothing outside of his control. At present we do not yet see all things under his control,
Now when God put everything under him, he left nothing outside his control. However, at the present time we do not yet see everything put under him. But we do see someone who was made a little lower than the angels. He is Jesus, who is crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might experience death for everyone.
For it was becoming in him - For the sake of whom are the all things, and by means of whom are the all things, - when, many sons, unto glory, he would lead, The Princely Leader of their salvation, through sufferings, to make perfect.

while it is said,

For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.
We ought therefore to fear that when the promise of admission to his Rest is still open, some one of you may be found to have failed to reach it.

They shall not enter My rest,”
[this He said] although His works were
For, as we know, when speaking of the seventh day He has used the words, "And God rested on the seventh day from all His works;"

There Jesus entered for us in advance, when he became high priest for ever with the rank of Melchizedek.

and Abraham gave him a tenth of all [the spoil]. He is, first of all, by the translation of his name, king of righteousness, and then he is also king of Salem, which means king of peace.
For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.
For when there is a change in the priesthood, there is of necessity a change of the law [concerning the priesthood] as well.
And this becomes even more evident if another priest arises in the likeness of Melchizedek,
but Jesus became a priest with an oath when God told him, "The Lord has taken an oath and will not change his mind. You are a priest forever."
There have been many priests, since each one of them had to stop serving in office when he died.
Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.
Further, if he were still on earth, he would not be a priest at all, for there are priests enough provided to offer the gifts the Law prescribes??5 though the service they engage in is only a shadow and imitation of that in heaven. Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel when that day comes, saith the Lord; I will set my laws within their mind, inscribing them upon their hearts; I will be a God to them, and they shall be a People to me;
When God speaks of “A new covenant,” He makes the first one obsolete. And whatever is becoming obsolete (out of use, annulled) and growing old is ready to disappear.
Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.
the high priest only enter'd, and that but once every year, when he carried the blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people.
And this is an image of the present time; when the offerings which are given are not able to make the heart of the worshipper completely clean,
For they [the gifts, sacrifices, and ceremonies] deal only with [clean and unclean] food and drink and various ritual washings, [mere] external regulations for the body imposed [to help the worshipers] until the time of reformation [that is, the time of the new order when Christ will establish the reality of what these things foreshadow—a better covenant].
But when Christ appeared as a High Priest of the good things to come [that is, true spiritual worship], He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not a part of this [material] creation.
For if the blood of oxen, and of goats, and the ashes of a heifer, when it was sprinkled, purified the unclean, as touching the purifying of the flesh:
For when a will is made, it is necessary that the death of him who makes it be proved.
For a testament is of force when men are dead, since it is in no way of force while the testator is alive.)
For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,
for then must he have suffered several times since the beginning of the world, when in the consummation of the ages, he has appeared once for all to expiate sin by offering himself as a sacrifice.
For then would they not have ceased to be offered? Because the worshipers, when they had been once for all purged, would have had no more conscience of sin.
Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:
Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;
but he, when he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
This is the covenant I will make with them when that day comes, saith the Lord, I will set my laws upon their hearts, inscribing them upon their minds, he adds,
