8 Bible Verses about Affection, Of Paul For The Church

For God is my witness, how I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus [whose great love fills me].

My little children, for whom I am again in [the pains of] labor until Christ is [completely and permanently] formed within you—

Besides those external things, there is the daily [inescapable] pressure of my concern for all the churches.

Therefore if there is any encouragement and comfort in Christ [as there certainly is in abundance], if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship [that we share] in the Spirit, if [there is] any [great depth of] affection and compassion, make my joy complete by being of the same mind, having the same love [toward one another], knit together in spirit, intent on one purpose [and living a life that reflects your faith and spreads the gospel—the good news regarding salvation through faith in Christ].

But we behaved gently when we were among you, like a devoted mother tenderly caring for her own children. Having such a deep affection for you, we were delighted to share with you not only God’s good news but also our own lives, because you had become so very dear to us.

For this reason [grasping the greatness of this plan by which Jews and Gentiles are joined together in Christ] I bow my knees [in reverence] before the Father [of our Lord Jesus Christ],

We give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, as we pray always for you,

For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people, I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers;
