And going forward a little, he fell on his face, and prayed and said, My Father, if it is possible let this cup pass from me; but not as I will, but as thou wilt.

Then Jesus said to him, Put up your sword in its place; for all who take the sword shall perish by the sword. Do you think that I could not ask my Father, and he would furnish me more than twelve legions of angels?

Then Jesus said to them, When you shall lift up the Son of man, then shall you know that I am [the Christ]; and I do nothing of myself; but I speak these things as the Father has taught me; and he having sent me is with me, he has not left me alone, for I always do the things which please him.

Jesus said to them, If God was your father you would have loved me; for I came forth and come from God; for I came not of myself, but he sent me.

Jesus answered, If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing; it is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say, He is our God;

do you tell him whom the Father has sanctified and sent into the world, You blaspheme, because I said, I am the Son of God?

Then they took away the stone. And Jesus lifted his eyes above, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me; and I knew that thou hearest me always; but for the sake of the multitude who stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me. And having said these things, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.

Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour. But for this cause came I to this hour; Father, glorify thy name. Then came a voice from heaven, I have both glorified and will glorify it again. Then the multitude standing and hearing, said, It was thunder; others said, An angel spoke to him.

You heard that I said to you, I will go away and come to you. If you loved me you would rejoice because I go to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.

JESUS spoke these words and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour has come; glorify thy Son, that the Son may glorify thee, as thou hast given him power over all flesh, that as to all that thou hast given him he should give them eternal life. I have glorified thee on the earth; I have finished the work which thou gayest me to do. And now glorify thou me, Father, with thyself, with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
