This punishment by the majority is enough for such a one; so that, on the contrary, you should rather forgive and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overwhelming sorrow. So I beseech you to confirm your love toward him.

Speak these things, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you.

And if anyone does not obey our word by this letter, mark that one and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.

Brothers, if a man is overtaken in a fault, you the spiritual ones restore such a one in the spirit of meekness, considering yourself, lest you also be tempted.

But God judges those who are outside. Therefore put out from you the evil one.
