But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the doors of the prison, and brought them out, and said,

Then Jesus said to them again, "Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.

So also, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door.

And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.

When they arrived, they gathered the church together and declared all that God had done with them, and how he had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles.

Now when I came to Troas to preach the gospel of Christ and when a door was opened for me in the Lord,

I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word, and have not denied my name.

But I will stay in Ephesus until Pentecost, for a wide door for effective work has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.

"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

And pray for us as well, that God may open a door to us for the word, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains,

"And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: 'These are the words of him who is holy, who is true, who has the key of David, who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens: I know your works. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut. Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, 'Lord, lord, open to us!' But he replied, 'Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.'
