For every house is built by some person; but he who is the architect of all things is God.

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all impiety and unrighteousness of men, holding back the truth in unrighteousness. Because that which is capable of being known relative to God, is evident among them; for God hath manifested it to them. (for when the Gentiles, who have not the law naturally, do the things of the law, these, though not having the law, are a law unto themselves: which exhibit the practice of the law written on their hearts, their conscience also bearing its testimony, and their mutual reasonings at intervals bringing accusations or forming excuses;) in the day when God shall judge the hidden things of men, according to my gospel by Jesus Christ.

Being then the offspring of God, we ought not to imagine that the Divinity is like to gold, or silver, or stone sculptured by human art or contrivance.
