When Joab saw that the battle was set against him both before and behind, he chose some of all the choice men of Israel, and put them in array against the Syrians:

But I will remove far off from you the northern army, and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the eastern sea, and his back toward the western sea, and his stench shall come up, and his foul smell shall come up, because he has done great things.

And he spread it before me; and it was written inside and outside: and there was written in it lamentations, and mourning, and woe.

And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a scroll written inside and on the back, sealed with seven seals.
