For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit to God. For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit to death:
But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being testified by the law and the prophets;
And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.
Christ is become of no effect to you, whoever of you are justified by the law; ye have fallen from grace.
For if the inheritance is by the law, it is no more by promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.
For the law made nothing perfect, but the introduction of a better hope did; by which we draw nigh to God.

Moreover the law entered, that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness is attainable by the law, then Christ hath died in vain.
