Enter in through the narrow gate, for wide is the gate; and spacious the way which leads to destruction, and many are they that enter in by it; for narrow is the gate, and compressed the way which leads to life, and few are those who find it.

And some one said to him, Lord, are there few who are saved? And he said to them, Strive to enter in by the narrow gate; for many, I tell you, shall seek to enter in, and shall not be able. and already the axe lies at the root of the trees; every tree, therefore, which bears not good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire.

For if we sin willingly after having received the knowledge of the truth, there is no longer a sacrifice left for sins, but a fearful expectation of judgment and fiery indignation, which is about to consume the adversaries.

Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon which have been done in you, they would long ago have changed their minds, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment, than for you. And you, Capernaum, even to heaven will you be exalted? even to hades shall you be cast down.

Serpents, offspring of vipers! How can you escape the judgment of hell?

Then shall he say to those on his left hand, Depart from me accursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me no food; I was thirsty and you gave me no drink; a stranger, and you took me not in; sick and in prison and you visited me not.read more.

And the tongue is a fire, the tongue is made a world of wickedness among our members, it defiles the whole body and sets on fire the course of nature and is set on fire by hell.
