And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested on the sabbath, according to the commandment.

But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath, and sat down.

And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spoke to the women who resorted thither.

And Paul, as his manner was, went in to them, and on three sabbaths reasoned with them out of the scriptures,

And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.

Now when Jesus was risen early, the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven demons.

In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn towards the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary to see the sepulcher. And behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. And for fear of him the keepers trembled and became as dead men. And the angel answered and said to the women, Fear ye not: for I know that ye seek Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples, that he is risen from the dead, and behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him. And very early in the morning, the first day of the week, they came to the sepulcher at the rising of the sun: And they said among themselves, Who shall roll away for us the stone from the door of the sepulcher?read more.
(And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away) for it was very great. And entering into the sepulcher, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were frightened. And he saith to them, Be not frightened: ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him: But go, tell his disciples and Peter, that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said to you.

Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came to the sepulcher, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulcher. And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.read more.
And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed at this, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments. And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said to them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen. Remember how he spoke to you when he was yet in Galilee,

The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, to the sepulcher, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulcher.

And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached to them (ready to depart on the morrow) and continued his speech until midnight.

Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and saith to them, Peace be to you. And when he had so said, he showed to them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad when they saw the Lord.

Upon the first day of the week, let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no collections when I come.
