If any one speak, let it be as declaring the oracles of God: if any one minister, let it be as from the power which God affordeth him: that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
And they went forth and preached every where, the Lord co-operating with them, and confirming the word by miracles following upon it. Amen.
For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not in fine speech, least the cross of Christ should be made of no effect.

through the efficacy of signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round as far as to Illyricum, I have fully declared the gospel of Christ:
What I say to you in private, declare ye in public: and what ye hear as in the ear, preach ye as from the house-tops. And be not afraid of them, who can only kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him, who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
so we, being affectionately desirous of you, were willing to impart to you, not only the gospel of God, but even our own souls, because ye were dear unto us.
preach the word, be instant both in season and out of season; convince, rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and instruction.
But the faithful God, He knows, that our word to you was not yes and no. For Jesus Christ the Son of God, who was preached among you by us, even by me, and Silvanus, and Timothy, was not yea and nay,
Take heed to thyself, and to thy doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this, thou wilt both save thyself and those that hear thee.
Some indeed through envy and strife, and some also through good-will: the former preach Christ out of contention, not sincerely, thinking to add affliction to my bonds; the others out of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.
What is my reward then but this? that when I preach I may make the gospel of Christ not expensive, that so I may not abuse my power in the gospel.
For ye remember, brethren, our labor and toil; for working night and day, that we might not be burthensome to any of you, we preached among you the gospel of God.
