So all the men of Israel were gathered against the city, knit together as one man.

And thou, son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the sons of Israel his companions. Then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and [for] all the house of Israel his And join them one to another into one stick for thyself, that they may become one in thy hand. And say to them, Thus says lord LORD: Behold, I will take the sons of Israel from among the nations where they have gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land. And I will make them one nation in the land, upon the mountains of Israel, and one king shall be king to them all. And they shall no more be two nations, nor shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all.

So I fed the flock of slaughter, truly the poor of the flock. And I took to me two staves, the one I called Beauty, and the other I called Bands, and I fed the flock.

Then I cut apart my other staff, even Bands, that I might break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.

Jerusalem, that is built as a city that is compact together,

Now when they shall fall, they shall be helped with a little help, but many shall join themselves to them with flatteries.

And the sons of Judah and the sons of Israel shall be gathered together, and they shall appoint themselves one head, and shall go up from the land, for great shall be the day of Jezreel.
