7 Bible Verses about Salvation, Boasting Impossible

For by grace are you saved through the faith; and that not of you; [it is] the gift of God; not of works, that no one may boast;

Where then is the boasting [of the Jew]? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? No; but by the law of faith.

But far be it from me to glory, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified to me and I to the world.

For if Abraham was justified by works he has [occasion for] boasting, but not before God. For what says the Scripture? And Abraham believed God and it was accounted to him for righteousness. But to one that works the reward is not accounted by grace but by debt.

but if by grace, no longer by works; for otherwise grace is no longer grace; but if by works, it is no longer grace; for otherwise a work is no longer a work.
