That no one over-reach, or wrong his brother in any thing: because the Lord is an avenger of all such crimes, as we also told you before, and testified to you.

For as many as have sinned without the law shall also perish without the law; and as many as have sinned under the law shall be judged by the law;

And as it is appointed to men once to die, and after this the judgement;

Judge not, that ye be not judged: for with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged; and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured back again to you. And why dost thou look at the splinter in thy brother's eye, but takest no notice of the beam in thine own eye?read more.
Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me take the chaff out of thine eye, and behold, there is a beam in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first get the beam out of thine own eye; and then thou wilt see how to take the splinter out of thy brother's eye.

And that servant, who knew his master's will, and did not prepare himself to do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes; but he that knew it not, and did things deserving stripes, shall be beaten with few: for to whomsoever much is given, of him will much be required; and to whom men have committed much, of him they will demand the more.

For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wouldest thou then not be afraid of the civil power? do what is good, and thou shalt have praise from it: for he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou dost evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is also the minister of God, as an avenger to execute his wrath upon the malefactor.

who though they knew the just judgement of God, (that they who commit such practises are worthy of death) yet not only do these very things, but also countenance and encourage others in the practice of them.

for he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh judgement against himself, not distinguishing the Lord's body. For this many among you are weak and infirm, and several are fallen asleep.

I wish they were even cut off from your communion, that make such disturbance amongst you. For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only abuse not this liberty for an occasion to indulge the flesh, but by mutual love serve one another. Then will they also answer Him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee famishing, or a-thirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not relieve thee? Then will He reply to them, saying, Verily I tell you, inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the lest of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life everlasting.
