11 Bible Verses about Smallness

Behold also the ships, large as they are, and driven along by fierce winds, are turned about by a very small rudder, wheresoever the impulse of the steersman wills. So also the tongue is a little member, and boasts great things. Behold, how small a fire kindles how great a forest!

because narrow is the gate, and straitened the way that leads to life, and few there are who find it!

And He saith to them, "Because of your little faith. For verily I say to you, if ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say to this mountain, 'Remove hence yonder,' and it will be removed, and nothing shall be impossible to you."

And the Lord said, "If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye would say to this sycamine tree, 'Be rooted up, and be planted in the sea,' and it would obey you.

And, running under a certain small island, called Clauda, we were with difficulty able to secure the boat;

Having, therefore, obtained help from God, I have stood to this day, testifying both to small and great, saying nothing, except those things which both the prophets and Moses said would come to pass;

And the nations were angered, and Thy anger came, and the time of the dead to be judged, and to give the reward to Thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and to those who fear Thy name, the small and the great; and to destroy those who destroy the earth."

And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the bond, that there be given them a mark on their right hand, or on their forehead;

And a voice came forth from the throne, saying, "Give praise to our God, all ye His servants, ye who fear Him, the small and the great."

And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne; and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged out of the things that were written in the books, according to their works.

And he said to him, 'Well done, good servant; because you were faithful in a very little, have authority over ten cities.'
