Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world! The one who follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
"I [am] Yahweh; I have called you in righteousness, and I have grasped your hand and watched over you; and I have given you as a covenant of [the] people, as a light of [the] nations,
I have come [as] a light into the world, in order that everyone who believes in me will not remain in the darkness.
And this is the judgment: that the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light, because their deeds were evil.
because of the merciful compassion of our God by which the dawn will visit to help us from on high,
