You shall neither vex a stranger nor oppress him, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.
Also you shall not oppress a stranger. For you know the heart of a stranger, since you were strangers in the land of Egypt.
He shall live with you, among you, in that place which he shall choose in one of your gates, where it seems good to him. You shall not oppress him.

And it happened when Ahab saw Elijah, Ahab said to him, Are you he that troubles Israel?
And he answered, I have not troubled Israel, but you and your father's house have, in that you have forsaken the commandments of Jehovah, and you have followed the Baals.
And Achish called David and said to him, Surely, as Jehovah lives, you have been upright, and your going out and your coming in with me in the army is good in my sight. For I have not found evil in you since the day of your coming to me until today. But you are not good in the eyes of the lords. And return now, and go in peace so that you do not displease the lords of the Philistines.
And Achish believed David, saying, He has made himself to be hated among his people Israel, and has become my servant forever.
But if you will not drive out the people of the land from before you, then it will be, those of them whom you let remain shall be goads in your eyes and thorns in your sides, and they shall trouble you in the land in which you live.
know for a certainty that Jehovah your God will no more drive out these nations from before you. But they shall be snares and traps to you, and whips in your sides, and thorns in your eyes, until you perish from off this good land which Jehovah your God has given you.
I will also vex the hearts of many peoples, when I bring your breaking among the nations, into the lands which you have not known.
I have confidence in you in the Lord, that you will think nothing else, but that he troubling you shall bear the judgment, whoever he may be.
And I will appoint a place for My people Israel, and will plant them so that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more. Neither shall the sons of wickedness afflict them any more, as before.

since it is a righteous thing with God to repay tribulation to those who trouble you,
Therefore my judgment is that we do not trouble those who have turned to God from among the nations,
Because we have heard that certain ones who went out from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your souls, saying, Be circumcised and keep the law! (to whom we gave no such command);
