For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.
And he said also to the people, When ye see a cloud rising in the west, immediately ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is.
Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky, and of the earth; but how is it, that ye do not discern this time?
These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
And in the morning, It will be foul weather to-day: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?
By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened.
Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail,
And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, who hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.
And great earthquakes will be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences: and fearful sights, and great signs will there be from heaven.
He answered and said to them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.
He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap.
For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there will be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes in divers places.
He causeth it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy.
And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.
And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
And there shall be a tabernacle for a shade in the day time from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.
And it is turned around by his counsels: that they may do whatever he commandeth them upon the face of the world on the earth.
Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone?
Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: God also hath set the one over against the other, to the end that man should find nothing after him.
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
And ye will hear of wars, and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for apprehension of those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
While the earth remaineth, seed-time and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
But not long after there arose against it a tempestuous wind, called Euroclydon.
In the day when the keepers of the house shall tremble, and the strong men shall bow themselves, and the grinders cease because they are few, and those that look out of the windows shall be darkened,
And this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
Charity never faileth: but whether there are prophecies, they shall fail; whether there are languages, they shall cease; whether there is knowledge, it shall vanish away.
But pray ye that your flight may not be in the winter, neither on the sabbath:
As the cold of snow in the time of harvest, so is a faithful messenger to them that send him: for he refresheth the soul of his masters.
For we must all appear before the judgment-seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to what he hath done, whether good or bad.
For God will bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it is good, or whether it is evil.
If the clouds are full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth: and if the tree falleth towards the south, or towards the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be.
In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.
And said to his servant, Go up now, look towards the sea. And he went up and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, Go again seven times.
And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
(For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days upon earth are a shadow:)
