For I will be merciful to their wrongdoing, and I will never again remember their sins.
Nor did he go into heaven to sacrifice himself again and again, the way the high priest goes into the Holy Place every year with blood that is not his own.

Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:
Others again were tested by cruel mockery and by scourging; yes, and by chains and imprisonment.
for consider again him who endured such gainsaying from the sinners to himself, that ye may not be wearied in your souls -- being faint.
And again, if the fathers of our flesh gave us punishment and had our respect, how much more will we be under the authority of the Father of spirits, and have life?
His voice then shook the earth, but now we have His promise, "Yet again I will, once for all, cause not only the earth to tremble, but Heaven also."
