So then neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth.

[You behave as if] you are already filled [with spiritual wisdom and in need of nothing more]. Already you have become rich [in spiritual gifts]! If one of the unbelievers invites you and you want to go, eat anything that is set before you without asking questions for conscience’ sake.

Every man praying or prophesying, having anything on his head, puts his head to shame.

For do you not have houses for eating and drinking? Or do you despise the church of God and humiliate those who do not have [anything]? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you? In this I will not praise [you]!

Love bears all things [regardless of what comes], believes all things [looking for the best in each one], hopes all things [remaining steadfast during difficult times], endures all things [without weakening].

and if to another sitting anything may be revealed, let the first be silent;

If Timothy comes, see to it that he does not have anything to be afraid of while he is with you, for he is doing the Lord's work as I am.
