And his fame went out straightway into the whole region of Galilee around.

So many people gathered together that there was no longer room [for them], not even near the door; and Jesus was discussing with them the word [of God].

Jesus looked around and said to His disciples, “How hard it is for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God!”

Looking at them, Jesus said, “With people [as far as it depends on them] it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.”

And He went into Jerusalem and into the temple complex. After looking around at everything, since it was already late, He went out to Bethany with the Twelve.

Then He began to speak to them in parables: “A man planted a vineyard, put a fence around it, dug out a pit for a winepress, and built a watchtower. Then he leased it to tenant farmers and went away.

He also said in His teaching, “Beware of the scribes, who want to go around in long robes, and who want greetings in the marketplaces,

Now a certain young man, having a linen cloth wrapped around his naked body, was following Him. They caught hold of him,

Some of them began to spit on him. They blindfolded him and kept hitting him with their fists and telling him, "Prophesy!" Even the servants took him and slapped him around.

The servant girl saw him and again told those who were standing around, "This man is one of them!"
