'Authority' in the Bible

Solomon son of David solidified his royal authority, for the Lord his God was with him and magnified him greatly.

These were the chief officers of King Solomon, two hundred and fifty [in authority] who ruled over the people.

Asa's son Jehoshaphat succeeded him as king, and he consolidated his authority over Israel
