'Craving' in the Bible
To the woman He said,“I will greatly multiplyYour pain in childbirth;In pain you will give birth to children;Yet your desire and longing will be for your husband,And he will rule [with authority] over you and be responsible for you.”
Contemptible people among them had a strong craving for other food. The Israelites cried again and said, “Who will feed us meat?
David had a craving and said, “Oh that someone would give me water to drink from the well of Bethlehem which is by the gate!”

Because he knew no rest in his craving, he shall save nought of what he most desired.
And they tested God in their heart [by] asking food {for their craving}.
Before they had satisfied their desire,And while their food was in their mouths,
They were seized with craving in the wildernessand tested God in the desert.
Jehovah suffereth not the soul of the righteous man to famish; but he repelleth the craving of the wicked.
The righteousness of the upright delivereth them; but the treacherous are taken in their own craving.
He who is selfish seeks a craving; against all sound judgment he shows contempt.

It will be as when a hungry man dreamsThat he is eating,But when he awakens, his hunger is not satisfied;Or as when a thirsty man dreamsThat he is drinking,But when he awakens, in fact, he is faintAnd his thirst is not quenched.So will the multitude of all the nations beWho fight against Mount Zion.
For the fool speaks nonsense,And his heart (mind) plans wickedness:To practice ungodliness and to speak error concerning the Lord,To keep the craving of the hungry unsatisfiedAnd to deprive the thirsty of drink.
"Woe to those who are craving the Day of the LORD! How is it to your benefit, this Day of the LORD? It's a day of darkness to you, and not light.
