'Eaten' in the Bible

Can that which is unsavoury be eaten without salt? or is there any taste in the white of an egg?

So I waste away like something rotten, like a garment eaten by moths.

Parts of his skin are eaten away;death’s firstborn consumes his limbs.

{There is nothing left after he has eaten}; therefore his prosperity will not endure.
