'Ground' in the Bible

Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped,

So they sat down with him upon the ground seven days and seven nights, and none spake a word unto him: for they saw that his grief was very great.

Although affliction cometh not forth of the dust, neither doth trouble spring out of the ground;

Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground;

“He will not become rich, nor will his wealth endure;And his grain will not bend down to the ground.

His archers compass me round about, he cleaveth my reins asunder, and doth not spare; he poureth out my gall upon the ground.

The snare is laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way.

As dry ground and heat snatch away the melted snow,so Sheol steals those who have sinned.

Iron is taken from the ground,and copper is smelted from ore.

He cuts a shaft far from human habitation,in places unknown to those who walk above ground.Suspended far away from people,the miners swing back and forth.

"While the ground produces food, underneath it is torn up and burning hot,

“From want and famine they are gauntWho gnaw the dry ground by night in waste and desolation,

They are living on the slopes of the wadis,among the rocks and in holes in the ground.

To satisfy the desolate and waste ground; and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth?

She abandons her eggs on the groundand lets them be warmed in the sand.

He paws the ground in the valley and rejoices in his strength; he goes out to face weapons.

He swalloweth the ground with fierceness and rage: neither believeth he that it is the sound of the trumpet.

"Beneath him he is armored as with sharp potsherds; he tears through muddy ground like a threshing sledge through grain.

"{On the ground it has no equal}-- a creature without fear.
