'Responded' in the Bible

The Lord responded to Joshua, "Get up! Why are you lying there face down?

But the Israelis responded to the Hivites, "Perhaps you live in our midst. If this is so, how can we make a treaty with you?"

So they responded to Joshua, "We are your servants." Joshua asked them, "Who are you? And where did you come from?"

The people responded, "Far be it from us to abandon the Lord so we can worship other gods!

Joshua responded, "You are giving testimony against yourselves, that you have chosen to serve the LORD." They replied, "We are witnesses!"
