'Roof' in the Bible
Then the Devil took Him to the Holy City and caused Him to stand on the roof of the Temple,
The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.
The one on the roof must not come down to take anything out of his house,
And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.

Since they could not find a way to bring him in because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and lowered him on the mat through the roof tiles into the middle of the crowd before Jesus.

On that day, anyone who is on the roof, with his goods in the house, must not come down to take them away, and likewise the person in the field must not turn back.
Around noon the next day, while they were on their way and coming close to the town, Peter went up on the roof to pray.
To the present hour we are hungry and thirsty, poorly clothed, brutally treated, and without a roof over our heads.
But if we have food and a roof over us, let that be enough.
