'Soil' in the Bible

I once observed a wicked and oppressive person, flourishing like a green tree in native soil.

You saturate its furrows, and soak its plowed ground. With rain showers you soften its soil, and make its crops grow.

There will be an abundance of grain in the soil on the top of the mountains;Its fruit will wave like [the cedars of] Lebanon,And those of the city will flourish like grass of the earth.

They devoured all the vegetation in their landand consumed the produce of their land.

How can we sing the Lord’s songon foreign soil?

As when one plows and breaks up the soil,turning up rocks,so our bones have been scatteredat the mouth of Sheol.
