'Vines' in the Bible

You are not to reap what grows by itself from your crop, or harvest the grapes of your untended vines. It must be a year of complete rest for the land.

The fiftieth year will be your Jubilee; you are not to sow, reap what grows by itself, or harvest its untended vines.

Why have you led us up from Egypt to bring us to this evil place? It’s not a place of grain, figs, vines, and pomegranates, and there is no water to drink!”

He killed their vines with hailand their sycamore fig trees with a flood.

So I join with Jazerto weep for the vines of Sibmah;I drench Heshbon and Elealeh with my tears.Triumphant shouts have fallen silentover your summer fruit and your harvest.

For you have forgotten the God of your salvation,and you have failed to rememberthe rock of your strength;therefore you will plant beautiful plantsand set out cuttings from exotic vines.

Beat your breasts in mourningfor the delightful fields and the fruitful vines,

They will consume your harvest and your food.They will consume your sons and your daughters.They will consume your flocks and your herds.They will consume your vines and your fig trees.They will destroy with the swordyour fortified cities in which you trust.

I will devastate her vines and fig trees.She thinks that these are her wagesthat her lovers have given her.I will turn them into a thicket,and the wild animals will eat them.

Though the fig tree does not budand there is no fruit on the vines,though the olive crop failsand the fields produce no food,though there are no sheep in the penand no cattle in the stalls,
