Instructions For Consecrating Aaron And His Sons

¹⁷ You are to cut the ram into pieces, wash its entrails and legs, put them on the altar along with the pieces and its head, ¹⁸ and send up the whole ram in smoke on the altar. It is a burnt offering to the LORD; it's a soothing aroma, an offering by fire to the LORD. ¹⁹ "You are to take the other ram, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the ram.

Genesis 8:21

When the LORD smelled the pleasing aroma, he told himself, "I will never again curse the land because of human beings even though human inclinations remain evil from youth nor will I destroy every living being ever again, as I've done.

Genesis 22:2

God said, "Please take your son, your unique son whom you love Isaac and go to the land of Moriah. Offer him as a burnt offering there on one of the mountains that I will point out to you."

Genesis 22:7

Isaac addressed his father Abraham: "My father!" "I'm here, my son," Abraham replied. Isaac asked, "The fire and the wood are here, but where's the lamb for the burnt offering?"

Genesis 22:13

Then Abraham looked up and behind him to see a ram caught by its horns in the thicket. So Abraham went over, grabbed the ram, and offered it as a burnt offering in place of his son.

Exodus 29:25
