6 The (a)oracle concerning the (A)beasts of the (B)Negev.
Through a land of (C)distress and anguish,
From (b)where come lioness and lion, viper and (D)flying serpent,
They (E)carry their riches on the (c)backs of young donkeys
And their treasures on (F)camels’ humps,
To a people who cannot profit them;

(e)(H)Rahab who has been exterminated.”
8

And inscribe it on a scroll,

Sons who (h)refuse to (L)listen
To the (i)instruction of the Lord;

Who say to the (M)seers, “You must not see visions”;
And to the prophets, “You must not (N)prophesy to us what is right,
(O)Speak to us (j)pleasant words,
Prophesy illusions.
11
“Get out of the way, (P)turn aside from the path,
(k)(Q)Let us hear no more about the Holy One of Israel.”
