John 16:16

Jesus Predicts His Return To The Disciples

¹⁵ All that the Father has is mine. That is why I said, "He will take what is mine and declare it to you.' ¹⁶ In a little while you will no longer see me, then in a little while you will see me again." ¹⁷ At this point, some of his disciples asked each other, "What does he mean by telling us, "In a little while you will no longer see me, then in a little while you will see me again,' and, "because I am going to the Father'?"

Then Jesus said, "I'll be with you only a little while longer, and then I'm going back to the one who sent me.
