Jonah 1:1

Jonah Disobeys Yahweh

The deliverers shall go up on Mount Zion
To rule and judge the mountain of Esau,
And the kingdom and the kingship shall be the Lord’s. ¹ Now the word of the Lord came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, ² “Go to Nineveh, that great city, and proclaim [judgment] against it, for their wickedness has come up before Me.”

2 Kings 14:25

Luke 11:29-30

Now as the crowds were increasing [in number], He began to say, “This [present] generation is a wicked generation; it seeks a sign (attesting miracle), but no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah [the prophet].

Luke 11:32

The men of Nineveh will stand up [as witnesses] at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and look, something greater than Jonah is here.
